Anyone stay in a studio and can speak about the space in there? They look tiny! We will have two adults, a 4 year old and a baby in the pack in play... I don't even see where you can put a pack and play in the pics. One bedroom price difference is a big jump and we don't spend a lot of time in the room anyway but wondering of this studio is even possible with this group...

The studios are tiny, about 100 sq. ft. less than a standard room at the Contemporary. DD and I spent the night in one before the rest of our family met us and we moved into a 2BR, and the space was fine for us. I think it will be for you too as you're 2 adults, a child, and a baby. I wouldn't recommend it for 4 adults. As for the pack 'n play, the kitchen alcove would probably be the best (perhaps only) option.

It is possible :) I don't think you will have a problem. It will be a bit like Tetris fitting the pack and play but since you will not use the room that often it should work out. Honestly, I wouldn't upgrade if it were me.

We stayed with our two children and two adults (my husband and myself).

they are tiny. if you are a commando who just uses the room to crash, you can make it work.

(but i would get a bigger room.)

I agree with Charles. Get a bigger room. Even a CR Wing Room would give you loads more room and just as close to the MK and the monorail.

Or if you really want a studio, try VWL studio and you are a short boat or bus ride from the MK. That studio will be larger and should have a murphy bed that your 4 yr old might like.

Also, if you get a studio inside the C of the building, it will have a lot of noise from the pool during any nap times in the room.

Thank you the input everyone. Does anyone know of the studios are bigger at beach club or boardwalk? We like the idea of bay lake bc of proximity to monorail and California Grill, but also like the fact you can walk to Epcot from beach club or boardwalk. We are considering doing David's disney vacation club rental for OCT 2015 so have tons of time to plan. Just starting our research now...

BCV studios are the same size as BLT, but BWV studios are larger (412 sq. ft. compared to 336). An important thing to consider is that October is Food & Wine and the Epcot resorts go fast. Chances are good that there won't be a studio available through David's, or anywhere else for that matter, during that timeframe.

Good point. We are going to fill out rental app as soon as we can (11 months in advance) just trying to figure out what are top choices are!

I stayed in a BLT studio in Dec with my youngest DD(10). They studios feel tiny but they have lots of storage and I really liked the set up of the galley kitchenette. I think you might be able to fit the pack n play by the connecting door to the 1BR unit-you can see a bit of that area in this video:

I've stayed in a studio with two adults and two tweens. You'll have plenty of space with your little ones. Your four year old won't be able to run around, but hopefully they'll be so tired at the end of the day they'll just go right to sleep. ;)
There is room for a Pack n' Play right across from the bathroom.

Thanks for the picture. After watching some video lay outs I think we can make it work. And like I said we aren't ones to spend much time other than sleeping and showering in our rooms we like to be at parks or exploring hotel and what not! We won't even eat in there - too much other great food to have for us foodies haha

Your information isn't quite correct. If you look at the DVC Resource thread, you'll see that the BWV and BCV studios are about the same size. BLT is smaller. Plus more of the space at BLT is dedicated to the entry, bathroom and kitchenette. The drawing shows that at least half of the space is the bathroom, entry and kitchenette.

From the DVC Resource thread:
BWV
Studio: 359 sq. ft.
1 BR: 712 sq. ft.
2 BR: 1071 sq. ft.
GV: 2142 sq. ft.

BCV
Studio: 356 sq.ft.
1BR: 719 sq.ft.
2BR: 1075 sq.ft.
GV: None

BLT:
Studio: 339 sq.ft.
1BR: 803 sq.ft.
2BR: 1152 sq.ft.
GV: 2044 sq.ft.

The studio at BLT doesn't have any night stands for the queen bed. The ends of the bed are turned and the phone is placed on that. When you open the sleeper sofa, there is almost no room between it and the queen bed and between it and the window. That drawing isn't quite to scale either. The furniture is smaller than actual.
