TP rooms are divided into two groups for how good the views are, high floor and low floor. From the higher floor TP rooms, about 7 and above, views are very good of the lake and MK. The lower floor TP rooms are essentially a point rip-off because your main view is of a large parking lot and a monorail track. If you have a TP view reservation, you should make a request for high floor.
If you have an even ## room, the fireworks at MK are way louder than any other noise from the building. (of course it's only 20-25 min a night.)

Im staying during that time and im seeing it as a good opportunity to try a pool I wouldnt otherwise try.

Its one of my favorite resorts and im always going to want to book there so I figure i have a lot of years to try that poolI’ve never stayed at BLT - walked the CR/BLT grounds after dinner at California Grille. The CR pools certainly aren’t a very far walk. For me, however, I’m personally avoiding booking a BLT stay until the pool is done. That said, when I go, I’ll probably book a full week and my kids would definitely want to try out both pools. I can already see the look on my kids faces if I told them the pool and water slide they can see from their window is closed. But, I do like @Girlstar30’s “glass half full” approach
BTW there are two pools at CR, one with a slide, one without, and the distance is probably less than the walk to MK. I’d stay BLT for the walk to MK, with all those kids!
Bumping your question to the top of the boards again. I have this question as well wondering if it's better to view the New Year's Eve fireworks from Bay Lake or go into the parks. Let's see what others who have experienced this think.

I have done it both, to me it is a different experience, both amazing.
At MK - hub, if you feel comfortable with shoulder to shoulder crowds, the fireworks will feel like surrounding you, the immerse music energy and lights are really great. One way to reduce the wait in the spot is booking the dessert party at the garden.
At BLT it is like a private party, fireworks are amazing, feel close in away but also able to see them going off around is very cool.
You can do both too.. one on the 30th and another on the 31st
Search in Youtube both to see the fireworks; again it is all amazing it is more about the type of experience you prefer
I did both options the same night. They perform the same fireworks show twice. At 6ish, I watched it from inside MK, they did the countdown and everything. Then at 11:50 I watched it from the BLT bridge in my jammies (bundled up with sweatshirts). Then we walked down to our room and climbed into bed by 12:15!
