Bay Lake Tower or Contemporary?

We are trying to figure out which resort to stay at for our Disneymoon. I like them both and can’t decide. The Contemporary is in our room block but if we stay at the other one we will try that web site using the vacation points. Has anyone here used it? If so how was your experience?

I prefer Bay Lake Tower to the Contemporary for the decor and the location, but it has a few quirks. For one thing, there are no sheers in the rooms, just blackout curtains. This may not sound like a big deal, but considering that half of the rooms look directly into other rooms, you may have to keep your blackout curtains closed more than you'd like.

Just to warn you, it can be difficult to get a reservation at BLT in the Standard (i.e., cheapest) and Magic Kingdom view categories if you call less than 11 months out. That vacation point rental web site frequently only has availability at Saratoga Springs, so if you decide on BLT, start checking ASAP.

We are longtime Contemporary fans and have loved our stays there. When BLT opened, we bought in without hesitation. We love it even more than CR ... it's quieter but still convenient to the CR tower, the one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms are HUGE and you've gotta love TWO bathrooms in the one-bedroom and three in the 2-bd! The convenience of that can't be overlooked when getting ready for a wedding, IMHO.

We've booked rooms for ourselves and all of our family at BLT for our VR later this year and are really looking forward to being there again.

Another vote for BLT here!!! We are also owners and love the place!!! I would echo Carrie's advice about getting booked in asap at BLT as it is a popular choice for a lot of people!!

I'm another vote for BLT! We own there and love it- I'm very excited that we'll be getting ready for the wedding there as it's so big and it's very convenient

We got a reservation for BLT!!! We also have a "lake view" but we'll see how that turns out because you also had a "lake view." Your trip had a ton of great pics that helped us decide. I really liked the photos that you and your husband took, especially the spiderman one!
