Bay Lake Tower - non DVC members

I am booking a few days at BLT and am debating getting MK view. I know we don't have access to the Top of the World Lounge (only for DVC members) but would we have access to the outside viewing deck? If so, we may not bother paying extra for the MK view...just go up there to watch!

Even to get up to the observation deck you need to be a DVC member. They check your room key in the lobby, then escort you to an elevator and use their key to send you up. It's the only way to get there.

IF you want to save money, or there are no MK view rooms available, you can watch the fireworks from the bridge to the CR, or from the 4th floor observation deck at the contemporary.

My understanding is that you will not have access to any part of that area. When we stayed at BLT you had to have a special key card to access the 16th floor. You will be able to walk across the walkway to the CR to their deck to watch the fireworks and there are some lakeview rooms that have good views of the fireworks, you might get lucky.

Thats true about the lake view rooms. It's no gaurentee, but if you book in that category, request a room on the North Side, on the outer ring.
