We were actually told the DP could be used at WDW or DL before Oct 3, OR banked into RCI like regular points.

DH wants to use some of the points for RCI. If we can't use our DP points towards that or can't split them beteen that and Disney, I guess the 3 nights will be all the extra Disney I get this year, as we can't do another full week until at last late fall or early winter because of our work schedules, and I promised DH we would bank some points for RCI...

You can deposit the DP's into RCI. I believe you have to deposit by Oct 3, 2009, then search for a stay up to a year or 2 later (I believe it's standard RCI terms, didn't read the RCI portion of our DP addendum as we don't plan to trade) If you don't find a match by the end of the set period, you lose the points.

Yes, you should be able to split and use some at Saratoga Springs and deposit what you need into RCI. What I was told is that if you put in a search for weeks in RCI you have up to 2 years. If you search in RCI for point reservations then it's only 1 year and the points will expire.

Give MS a call rather than using the online form. It's easier to straighten these things out if you talk to someone rather than sending emails back and forth.

But be prepared for a LONG phone call. I was on the phone 47 minutes making my reservation - 1 week in May. There was not an availability problem - but it took FOREVER.

I thought I remembered something about a march deadline, but I'm not sure. I want to make sure I use these points, obviously! Thanks in advance for advice or answers!

No deadline for making the reservations, but you have to travel (use the points) by Oct 3rd, 2009.

We also purchased 200 pts at BLT. We received the developer points and are using 180 of them at SSR in August. What do we do with the other 20? I know we won't be back before Oct and their expiration date? Does anyone know what my options are?

I am in the same boat with an extra 18 extra points. I have heard is that we can try to rent those points to others. It is too bad they can't be transferred to other people as those 18 points aren't really good for anything than one night in a studio. I may try to change my first night of five from a studio to a 1-bedroom, but not sure if it is worth having to change rooms

You can bank any leftover points into RCI and they are good for two years for that, according to my guide.

We are in the same sort of situation. I want to use some for a late July trip but not all, and there aren't really going to be enough left to rent etc., especially with all of the restrictions, so we will be banking the leftovers into RCI

Not unless they changed the date since I added on a few weeks ago. I would double check on that to be sure.
