Just curious as I am not sure if my battery is going to last the whole day at WDW, are there locations that you can plug in your charger? I'm trying to find an extended play battery for my camcorder, but having some difficulty getting the one...so figure I can just bring the plug..but not sure you can plug it in if necessary.

I don't think you'll find a place to plug in your charger. Maybe you could bring an extra battery? I'm sure you're not going to have the camera on all day. Having a backup might be the most affordable, practical solution.

I finally found my battery type at Best buy, extended play time so going to pick it up..so now I will have two batteries to last me the whole day...

well i don't know about it being on all day...DD 20 left the thing on while we were walking around on time at DL and have 30 minutes of feet and then got in a ride and it died!! lol

I read here on the DISboards a few years ago that the Camera Shop at each of the parks will let you charge your camcorder and/or digital camera batteries as long as you supply the charger.

On our 2005 trip, I found myself at the MK with a dead camera battery. I have two Li-Ion batteries for my Kodak camera and would always charge one overnight to have ready if/when the battery in the camera ran down. Apparently the battery I intended to charge the previous night didn't seat properly into the charger, so it didn't charge. When the battery in the camera ran down, I put in the spare and the camera wouldn't power on. Since I keep the travel charger in my camera case, I remembered the advice from this board and made my way to the Camera Shop near Tony's Town Square. I asked if I could charge my battery and the helpful CM said yes. When I looked behind the desk, there were 4-5 other batteries charging, too. She wrote my name on a piece of paper (maybe a sticky note) and put it with my battery/charger. We went about our day and I came back in an hour or two and picked up my freshly charged battery.

For those whose camcorder (or still camera) batteries are small enough, I recommend carrying a spare when you go into the parks.

There is nothing worse than missing an important pic because yoru battery died.

Good information to know. I plan on carrying a charged extra, but you never know if something happens...:)

I saw somewhere on wdwinfo that GR will take your camera and charger and plug it in... they'll give you a claim ticket for it to come pick it up.

I used Guest Relations at the Magic Kingdom to charge my camcorder battery. They gave me a claim check. I had no problems picking it up.
