We plan to arrive early each morning to make rope drop, but with a family of four girls, plus myself, I'm concerned someone will have to go to the restroom (because someone always does :guilty:) before we can actually get into the park. Are there bathrooms available to those waiting to get into the park?

Going strictly by memory I don't recall any at MK, or AK, but it seems like there might be some near the bus loading area at DHS, and at the International Gateway Entrance to Epcot. :confused3 Certainly there's no problem immediately after entering the park.

We only have 1 DD, but she always needs the restroom before we enter. So, yes there are bathrooms outside parks.

Thanks for this--do you recall where they are located? I just couldn't see them in my mind's eye even with dozens of WDW trips under my belt. :earsboy:

Before MK at the TTC
DHS on the left hand side before turnstiles.
At Epcot on right before bag check.
Cannot recall AK

MK - after bag check, to the right of guest relations, have to leave and come back in if already waiting within gates for morning show.
EP - before bag check, as you walk from the buses
DHS - after bag check, to the left of guest relations
AK - after bag check, to your right of the tap styles.

Thank you so much...I can't tell you what a concern this has been for me!
Feeling relieved.:flower1:

I see you are pretty new to the Board I base this on 8 messages, if I'm wrong I apologise.Anyway let me say welcome to Board happy to see you. if you have any other questions you will find many Board members who will try to help you.Don't be afraid to ask any planning question,We have all seen what park what day, many times but members always reply to best of their knowledge in friendly helpful way.If someone gives snarky reply don't take it personally ,I will deal with it.Have a wonderful vacation and hope you have great memories of your visit.

If you are taking a resort bus to MK there are some on the right just after you walk past the bus stop area too. Not often crowded, most people rush right past them. It's way before bag check or where the monorail leaves off.

Where are these again? The only restrooms outside the MK gates I have ever seen are the ones next to the guest relations after bag check. Sure your not talking about EPCOT?

yeah, there are no restrooms after the buses before bag check at MK.
Just to add, in Epcot there are also restrooms outside the park to the left of the turnstiles

I was going to say I had seen these at MK but when I followed the rest of the journey from bus to park in my mind, I realized I was thinking of Epcot and the "vending machine" bathrooms. It think OP got confused.

If you get there really early for RD, be sure to have them go about 20-30 minutes before park open, since the park can open a little early. Nothing is worth than a kid needing the bathroom while running to the first ride or boarding. I learned the hard way:(

And just to add further...If you arrive at Epcot through the International Gateway entrance, there are restrooms in the building there that you can use before or after going through the bag check.

Apologies for my brain fart, of course I was thinking of the ones past the bus stops at Epcot, not at MK.

If it helps, look at the park maps here on the Dis to see the RR locations.

With 4 kidlets, having a rough idea where some of the RR are in the parks is a good idea.
