Bathrooms - Round Tubs vs. Regular Tubs

Is there any way to determine which staterooms have the newer style round tub that have the overhead shower?

We will be in Fantasy #8602 and we're hoping we have the newer tub. Just LOVE that overhead shower!!!

I'm fairly positive that all category 4's on the newer ships have the round tubs, whereas it's the category 5's and lower that have normal tubs.

We got a 4A on our first cruise and we too loved that overhead shower! We missed it when we sailed in a 5B cabin on the Fantasy.

We were just concierge on the Dream. First time we had the round shower. I am probably in the minority, but I prefer the regular tub type shower. I thought it was bigger and I really didn't care for the rainforest type shower head. But, I did like the bigger room!

I was just thinking the same thing! The rain showerhead, we never used. And, I prefer the regular tub more than the round one. The round one just isn't comfy if you're a soaking in the tub sort of person.

I much preferred the inside room on the Dream we had with the regular tub:

Did your round tub have a seating area attached? I'm not sure if it's just cut off in the pic.

On the new ships Cat 4A-4D and 8B-8D have the round tub. LOVE the round tub!

Yes. It was difficult to get the whole tub/shelf in one shot. I was standing in front of the sink to get that picture. The wall on the right hand side of that picture is the one on the left in this one - you can see around the corner where the shelf area is:

princessshmoo, how big is the regular tub? we have one (i believe/hope) for our next cruise and i am a soak in the tub type person. i have never seen one on the ships, always had the rounds.
the picture makes it look big enough however pictures can be deceiving.

It doesn't seem to be quite as long as a "regular" tub. But it was certainly big enough for me to get in it and soak (I'm 5'4"). And it's deeper than a regular tub. Like a regular tub is about 13-14" deep, this one seemed to be more along the lines of 17-18" deep.
