In both of these resorts in a 1 bedroom, you have to walk through the bathroom area that has the tub to get to the shower room, right??? I'm going to have 4 teenage girls :scared1: with me this summer and was hoping one could shower while the other bathed. TIA

You can check with MS when booking, but I'm pretty sure we requested the laundry room walk-through in buildings 30 and higher when we stayed at OKW.

Won't stay at an SSR 1-bedroom until our next trip, but at OKW, yes, you must walk through the room with the whirlpool to get to the bathroom.

The SSR 1 bedroom floor plan indicates the same:

At SSR, the shower is located in a separate room from the tub. You can see that in the link that you posted. That part of the bathroom can be accessed from either the living area or tub area of the master. So it should work for OP's crew.

I stand corrected. I guess the memory cells from the OKW trip are long gone. :sad1:

OP, why don't you take a look at the SSR 360 virtual tour (on the same website)? It shows you exactly what the layout looks like with the two entrances to the bathroom/shower area. OKW may have a virtual tour too.

I will thanks. I've stayed at both several times, but can't recall the set ups!

I would lean to SSR, to avoid any possibility of not having the second-door access.

At OKW there was a design change. In buildings 30 and higher, there is an additional entrance to the room with the toilet and shower through the laundry room. I bldgs 29 and lower you must enter through the master bedroom and jacuzzi area.

I've booked a 1 bed at OKW for June close to HH.

What number are the close to HH bldgs at OKW?

I wanted the larger layout of OKW, but if we dont have the separate bathing areas, I may just switch to SSR. I think that would really tip the scales and SSR has plenty of availability for our dates.

It would work for us better to have 2 functioning bath areas.

The only buildings near to HH with the bathroom entrance throgh the laundry room are 62, 63 & 64. And my understanding is that they are not icluded in the "near HH" booking category.

All the other buildings in the immediate HH area are prior to the design change.

None of the buildings in the HH booking catagory have the extra door to the bathroom through the laundry room. All the master baths at OKW have two rooms. One room has the whirlpool tub and a pedestal sink and the other room has a sink/vanity, toilet and shower. If you are in a building under 30, you will have to go through the tub room to get to the shower room, but there is a door that can close between the two.

Also, there is no door between the bedroom and the tub room so if they want privacy, they would need to close the bedroom door. I would guess that most teenage girls would prefer the shower. Could two girls shower at night and two in the morning?
