Anyone who's been recently, do you recall if the bathrooms in the parks have automatic flush toilets? My three year old is terrified of automatic flush toilets and will refuse to go. So I need to know if they have them and if there are any bathrooms without them. Thank you in advance for any help,
Christine

We just put a little piece of masking tape ove the sensor while our son was in there, then of course, removed it when he was done.

Oh, and enjoy with the 'extended family' bunch at OKW in a couple weeks. :)

another thing about the toilets - I dunno if OKW has these - but AKL has TURBO FLUSH toilets...

I swear it could take a childs arm off the flush is so powerful.

DH likes to give me a countdown when he's done...

3...2...1...TURBO FLUSH!!!

hehehe

Most restrooms at WDW are automatic. Some were not but I can't recall which ones. Everytime we go into a public restroom my dd4 asks if they are the "magic potties". She hates them too. It's a race to see if she can finish before it flushes. I like the masking tape idea and will have to try it for her.

did you ever try to do a courtesy flush with an automatic one, its real hard

ROFL picturing pop daddy trying to get toilet to flush while still in the stall

Well, some of those automatic toilets are pretty powerful. The ones by the resort bus stops are definitely F5 toilets! :)

The ones at the All-Stars and the Swan are F5's too. Don't get close to them or you'll be suck down, never to be seen again. :)

Boy, I can relate to this::yes:: My youngest son (who is now 10) was also terrified of the automatic flush toilets. When he was about three, we had stopped on I-95 at a rest stop in Maryland that had the auto flush toilets. I was in the stall with him and when it flushed, he screamed, climbed under the stall and ran all the way back to the car screaming, "It's an automatical!" Good thing my mother was back at the car. He ran so fast, someone had to catch him:D

The masking tape is a good idea, but I have an even BETTER one.

You know all those round Mickey stickers the Cast Members hand out? We get them by the handful every visit. Guess what?

Yep! We always keep a stock of them and one goes over the sensor before and gets taken off afterwards. Works like a charm and we don't have to carry tape. 2 dozen of them in DW's purse does it every time.

Is this perhaps something children need to work through? I'm thinking it's like thunderstorms. Best of luck to all involved.:D
