Bathroom with blue fixtures.

Hi. we want to redo our bathroom but can only afford to paint.All the bottom half of the walls are white wayne scotting(Spelling sorry). The sink,bathtub and toilete is light blue.

The same designer must have done both our bathrooms. Only our tub toilet and sink are all different shades of blue.Ours is painted yellow with a fish boarder and shower curtain. We are going to repaint the walls white and I found a shower curtain that I fell in love with. it has green and blue in it. DH also liked it and that is saying something.

My first thought would be a shade of brown/tan. Maybe repaint the wainscoting a light gray for a softer look than white. Going for either a seashore or a spa look and feeling.

I could see going two ways -- brown on the wainscote and blue on the wall for a trendy look. Really rich brown towels.

Or keep the wainscote white and paint pale blue and white stripes on the top -- very sea shore, crisp looking.
