bathroom question

I know this has been asked before i just can't find the answers. We are going in november for our sons wish trip and i'm trying to find out the best places to be able to change his diaper. I know about the first aid stations and since we'll be on his wish trip the lounges, but we don't want to have to walk all the way to the front of the park to do a diaper change. What have y'all done and what companion restrooms have changing tables.

There's probably information in the FAQ 'sticky' that will help you with locations - but did you know only DHS's First Aid Station is at the front of the park? The rest are pretty centrally located:
Magic Kingdom, it's by Crystal Palace, directly off the Hub;
Animal Kingdom, it's on your left as you're approaching Africa, just before the bridge (yeah, I know - in/by the other side of the Tree of Life might be a little more centralized); and
Epcot, it's in the Odyssey Building, on your left as you're going from Future World to World Showcase.

To be honest, in my past experience I have found that almost all of the regular bathrooms have very decednt changing tables. They are not the pull-down ones you find in most public restrooms, but rather a large stainless steel counter with e ledge so kids can't roll off, somewhat enclosed for privacy. There was always plenty of space to set my backpack down right at DD's feet...just make sure you have a changing pad in your diaper bag as the tables are really hard. I would use the changing pad for DD's head & use a disposable pad under her bum.

That said, whenever possible try to make it to the Baby Care Center...the tables there are so huge, padded, have paper liners for you to use, are quiet, have nice mellow lighting, and are a perfect retreat from the chaos of the other bathrooms. My DD has autism and sometimes I'll even take her there to use the restroom simply because it is so calming.

How tall is Jonah? As 'Gator said, he may be able to use the changing tables in the regular restrooms, which would save you a trek. I don't know the size of them myself, but I'm sure someone here will, and they are pretty long. As for the baby care centres, you can find pictures and information on them on this link to Mouse Planet.

I don't know the dimensions of the changing tables in the restrooms, but he might be a bit too tall for them. From the looks of it, he may be able to use the baby care centres (except in AK, as the tables are smaller), but as these are all just next to the first aid rooms, there's not much point.

Does anyone know the length of the changing tables in the restrooms?

I didn't have time to continue about what I knew about the other Companion Restrooms. I'm not home right now, so I can't post it, but I will try to make it a priority when I get home.

I'm the person who asked this ? before. Here's a site with pictures of ALL the bathrooms in the parks: http://www.cassworld.ca/photosbathrooms.htm

From going through the above site I've come up with the alternate places where it's most likely going to work to change my ds (he's 5 foot 5 inches if he didn't have contractures in his legs).

Here's what I came up with. These all appear to have long change tables rather than the shorter ones where you could only fit a smaller child on:

MK: Behind Pinnochio's restaurant, possibly the bathroom in between Frontier land and Adventure land

AK: Just before Dinoland ? , possibly Restaurantasaurus and the one opposite Flame tree bbq on Discovery Island. I didn't see any here that clearly would work. The first aid room in AK seems to be fairly central so getting back there wouldn't be as difficult as in some of the other parks.

Epcot: International Gateway just outside of the park, Left of Spaceship Earth (this one looked perfect)

DHS: Lights, Motors, Action!

I'm not possitive of all of these but they're at least a starting point.

I looked on the guest with disabilities website and found out where the companion bathrooms are, here is the website companion restrooms it doesn't list if they have changing tables or not but it helps to know where they are anyway.

There are a couple of pictures of companion restrooms on this one, two photos showing tables, which look pretty long. The one at the refreshment port in EPCOT isn't completely walled in, with only a ledge a couple of inches high at one end. He might be able to put his feet over the edge of that if he was too tall to lie on it flat (I can't really tell how long it is from this picture, but I've never been able to judge distance by eye).

It's Disney, they'll make sure you have a magical time!

Have you tried asking the people organising the Wish trip about this? I'm sure you're not the first people to need changing facilities on a Wish trip, and they may have exactly what you need at their fingertips.
