Bathroom Hopping!

If Disney is going to sell me their food and drink then damn it I need to use any bathroom I want. What next Advanced Bathroom Reservation (ABR):)

I wonder if we will be forced to bring our own "charmin" or other favorite brand  if this hopping continues. Of course at DVC resorts it would become an increase in annual dues to pay for the additional transportation costs of people wishing to visit the facilties:upsidedow

Oh wait..
What if Disney installed a card reader. You would have to swipe your resort card to enter the bathroom at the resort you are staying at. :scared1:
That would eliminate bathroom hopping.

Or what about pay to pee bathrooms!

We bathroom hop all the time. In fact, DH is proud that he's "blown up" (if you know what I mean.....) all the best resort bathrooms on property.

I'm pretty sure I was using an Epcot restroom when your husband was visiting a few years ago....

:rotfl:

Don't let disney learn about this

Next you'll see the cleaning lady will add the pay system to the stalls like some places in europe. It will cost you 10 cents a visit. Just imagine the revenue.

If we can't use the bathrooms at other resorts, would it be OK to pee in the pool instead?

I think you would then be crossing over into the area of Pool Hopping and do you really want to take the subject on? :scared1:

Now back to bathroom hopping...if Disney catches on they might have to install a Fastpass for that. Do you think they would be at each resort or would we all have to go to one centralized location at AK to get those Fastpasses? And which ones do you think would run out at Soarin' speed? Grand Floridian, Beach Club or do you think a moderate might sneak in there and surprise us all?

Due to customer demand, bathroom visits would cost more during peek season.

Seats will be removed from toilets at the very busy bathrooms so people don't get too comfortable and sit too long.

A Magic Your Way Bathroom plan will be offered. With a resort stay, a park ticket you can purchase a plan that will include 4 quick visits and one extended visit and a per person per day. A deluxe plan will include 2 extended visits, 6 quick visits and a refillable mug.

This wouldn't be an issue if Disney didn't start switching all chairs to stools.

Just sayin'. :rotfl2:

:wave2: I'll admit that I like to check out the facilities.

Dh had to make a pit stop while we were checking out the BWV once and when he came out he told me "You have got to go check out those bathrooms. They have little washclothes for your hands!". So of course I had to go check out the ladies restroom with camera in hand.

The outside/poolside restrooms at AKL are really nice.

I wish that the France pavillion had a nice loo. That champagne goes right through me, it's such a long walk to either the UK or Morocco. Maybe we could start some sort of petition? I'll confess, I've walked purposefully past the podium in Chef de France, just to use the john.

I apologise if I've hijacked this thread, i think it's hilarious that we're all talking about WDW toilets :)

The BC may need to expand the SAB wristband system to include the lobby bathroom. The hand towels are mighty fine ;)

Ah, you obviously have not seen the basket of fresh impeccably tightly rolled and stacked hand towels waiting to spare the deluxe resort guest skin from the harsh roughness of a paper product. It's a one use deal :thumbsup2

And now a west coast perspective on bathroom hopping.

Out here at DLR bathroom hopping is much easier. No taking the monorail or bus to get the bathroom of your choice. All bathrooms are within walking distance. :thumbsup2

The bathroom at the DLH by Steakhouse 55 has a huge "living room" with mirrors and stools and towels. The bathroom at near the pool at the CGH is small but charming and next to my favorite place to eat, Whitewater Snacks.

My favorite bathroom of all is in Fantasyland at DL. It is near the Alice in Wonderland ride and each door is a card. There are card theme tiles around on the walls too. The sign outside for the women's door is the Queen of Hearts.

But better than bathroom hopping, is collecting pictures of the bathroom signs. :rotfl: I don't know if they do that at WDW but each bathroom sign is different depending on the theme of the area it is in. Here are a few that I took pictures of last year. http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1907056&highlight=bathroom+signs I have more, but haven't posted them yet.

Do they look like this at WDW too? :) Are they in different languages in Epcot?

I will have to find my picture that I took of that wonderful looking basket filled to the brim with the rolled towels. :) Just have to remember which trip that was....

I believe all bathroom use should be resort level specific :thumbsup2

Resort Keys could be encoded to only let value in to value bathrooms etc etc... although in true Disney style there will always be an upgrade available

Now when do I get my place in that magic boardroom were they plan these things? :thumbsup2.
Prehaps one of us could think of some evil plans send them to Disney, and get in on the 'boardroom click'. We could then start making DIS suggestions! Like having backs on our chairs so that our guests are comfortable duing their stay :confused3

Thanks for the input on DLR bathrooms. I have not been to DLR in years and you have really helped with my trip planning. The photos were excellent. You have taken bathroom hopping to a new level.

I do have one question: If "The bathroom near the pool at the CGH is small but charming and next to my favorite place to eat Whitewater Snacks" Where is your favorite place to eat Whitewater Snacks? That must be a pretty sweet bathroom if you eat there!

OK....i took a little liberty and removed a coma.!

I like to call it bathroom bombing, but yeah, I do it. When I get done with em, looks like a scud missile has gone off in there. hee hee.

I also "air hop" a bit. Sometimes I'll walk over to a resort I'm not stayin' in and just breathe in however much air my little lungs want.

Oh, and don't get me started on trash cans. I took a picture of DH next to each new themed trash can we ran across. :)
