Bathing w/ your child. Opinion?

Yep, sure is! :rotfl:

And no, my sisters don't shower together. :rotfl2: I am ROTFLMAO at the thought of that one!

I don't bathe cats! Had to bathe the kittens this fall when they had fleas and how a 5 pound bundle of fur (and claws) could rip me up like that I couldn't figure out, but it was a humbling experience. I was laughing all the way through it, but will never repeat it. Even though I'd rather be doing that right now than the barf clean up that I was doing last night that I need to finish cleaning up.

One of the kittens almost fell into the toilet when I was peeing the other day. He's a fast little bugger and these 2 little ones are into everything. Tigger and Belle were never this much trouble.

One time my sister's kitten fell in the tub when I was taking a bath. And no, my sister was not in the tub with me!!! :rotfl:

That reminds me of when my cat was a kitten. He used to try to stick his head in the toleit while you were using it to figure out just where the noise was coming from. Too funny, trying to use the toliet with a kitten trying to stick his head between your legs. :lmao: :rotfl:

My kitten was trying the sneak up behind her line of attack. LOL

One day I was showering...alone, but with the kittens supervising. Apollo kept mewing, not wanting the clear shower door between us. He was ok if I left the door open a little, but cried when I closed it. Eventually he ran into the shower, under the water flow. :rotfl: He flew out of there, giving me a dirty look. Hasn't done that again.

luvmydogs, it's all because I use leather, right??? :lmao:

Yes, but are you sure he isn't secretly uncomfortable on some subconscious level? I mean, maybe it would be ok if he was a female dog . . . :rotfl2:

Nope, nevermind. After careful consideration, I have determined that you are obviously a sicko, Peg.

Hey, even when he doesn't shower with me, he sits in the bathroom and watches me. This dog definately needs a new hobby! Oh, DD thinks it is very weird that I shower with the dog. It's a good thing she will be going away to college soon. Then, Griffin and I can shower in peace! LOL!

I really don't want to read about you in the newspaper! At least not for that reason... :rolleyes1

We did showers--but not baths. If it were a bath, we'd all be in swimsuits anyway.

At 2.5 no big deal. After about 3--time to break the habit.

When DS was real little (13 months and under) he had a dialysis catheter. He couldn't be in any "sitting" water, so he had to be in the shower. Well, he was scared to death of the shower so I would take him in with me, bathe him while holding him and then put him in his soft, fuzzy towel in his pumpkin seat while I finished my shower.

After the tube came out, he found he liked the bath tub ALOT and there was no way I was getting in with him--little squiggle worm!!!

It must be Goldens. When I shower, mine compulsively licks the glass shower door. So, I shower and watch that the whole time. :confused3

Lots of interesting opinions here. My daughters and I enjoy taking baths together. Usually, we end up playing beautician and we wash and "style" each others hair......shampoo works great as a styler in the tub!! :teeth: When they start feeling uncomfortable with it, then we'll stop.
