bathing suits for teen girls

The good thing is miss matched is in style. I usually get my DD more conservative black bottoms from Target. She buys the tops from pink and other teen stores. A couple years ago I bought her a bikini from Triangl when that was the “in” brand. There are so many choices. For me looking online is not good because the model sizes are different. I have her try them on before I make a decision or order online where Inknkw Incan easily return.

My girls rarely wear matching tops and bottoms, it makes it so much easier. They always have a couple of black tops and bottoms, plus other solids and prints.

I totally agree about Target. We tried there today. The suits are like 2 little triangles on top hooked together with dental floss on the back of the top. The bottom starts out OK until you turn it to the side and see the tiny strings there where fabric should be!!

There are so many more suits online at Target, even if I shop our local one when the bathing suits come out, I can hardly find anything.

Hot Topic has some cute suits that aren't too showy. My daughter is very chesty and has a hard time finding suits, but the rockabilly/pinup style suits that have a more 50s-ish cut are super cute on her while still covering enough to actually be used for swimming rather than just looking good poolside.

Not sure if they would fit for teens since they go by 2,4,6,8,etc. sizing, but swimsuitsforall.com is AMAZING. AdoreMe has a few cute two pieces too that aren't your typical bikinis

DD15 likes the suits at Pink. It sucks because they don't carry many in the stores so we usually order online and that's a crap shoot. 2 years ago I found one that covered her well and almost fit perfectly. There were a couple weird straps that just didn't fit right and didn't make sense. She liked it anyway. She actually picked out a one piece this year and they had it in the store so she got to try it on.

Does anyone know where to find an age appropriate bathing suit for a 13 year old teen girl? She is too old for the bathing suits at Justice but whenever we look at juniors bathing suits online it seems as if there is very little material. Where do you find cute bikinis that cover appropriately without looking like the Duggars?

Following- I'm having trouble finding suits for my daughter this year. She's only 11, but she doesn't like bikinis and her torso is so long that most one pieces look weird. She prefers tankinis but I'm having trouble finding any this year with longer tops.

What size Speedos do you get at Costco that fit your daughter if you don't mind me asking? Is she in the woman sizes? Mine doesn't fit the girl sizes there at all and looked at me like I lost my mind when I suggested she try a woman's small.

She can this year still wear the largest child size (i think it’s a 14?). She is really in between still and can wear Women’s XS, or Child XL. She’s about 5’ and 90 pounds

I managed to find a decent bikini set at Walmart for my 11 yr old daughter. She is quite developed and we are struggling with finding attire that does not accentuate her chest. I don't know why everything has to be so skimpy and trashy.

So hard this was me last year. I did lucked out last year at Target because the 14/16 girls bikini set ran big and fit DD. It was the same size as a women's & junior's small. This season, I'll have to hit Walmart. They do have a mixture of sporty/fitness swimwear. It's where I got my swimsuit 2 years ago.

DD10 (who wears a Misses 2) went retro this year at Old Navy. She bought a high-top brief and a laced-back top, and loves the combination, but I've been asked to add cups to the top, as the XS has none, and she wants more support.

Kohls. Apartment 9 brand specifically (if still available idk if that brand exists anymore).

Throughout high school and early college I got all my bathing suits from kohls. Some really good options from two piece to one piece to skin guards.


I’d also try old navy as they usually have a great assortment and variety
