I was wondering do they sell bathing suits for infants anywhere at WDW? My dd will be 11 months when we go in Dec. Depending on how warm it gets at WDW,she might need a bathing suit. I know I will not be able to find one around here in Dec.

If you are really concerned, buy one now while they are available. Just buy for the size she will be when you will need it. Also, at that age, I just put a onesie on over a swim diaper. Worked just fine!

I second the vote for a onesie instead of a bathing suit. It will keep her little shoulders covered from the sun, and since it snaps at the bottom it will be easier for changing her.

We did the onesie over the swim diaper as well - or even just a tshirt over the swim diaper (and far more for sun than modesty). Little kids suits are sure cute, and if you think you want one, look after the Fourth, when you will be able to buy several of them off the sale rack in different sizes for what you'll pay for one at Disney.

(But, I'm sure you'd be able to find a swimsuit somewhere on Disney property. Do you want to spend your vacation looking for it though?)

I thought about buying one now. But what if it doesn't fit,and I will not be able to get my money back. I think the onesie idea is great. I wish someone would have given me that idea for my first child,so I could have saved some money. lol

If you buy it at the Gap you can return it whenever if you have the receipt and the tag on it. I had someone return something from 9 yrs ago - with the receipt!!!

They have great sales. Check online as well. You can always return it in the store.

Sometimes Walmart and discount stores have them for $4 at the end of the year.

Good Luck! :)

She will be just over 1 yo. in Oct when we go to DW. She is about 18 lbs now, so I know she'll need a larger size than 12 months. I bought a tinkerbell suit, coverup, and sandals all in size 2/3 at DS (also all 50% off!), and it is only a little big on her now (8 months). You could buy a larger size now and return it later if its way too big. Personally, when I buy DS clothes, I like to get their stuff a little big so it lasts longer!

I wouldn't count on being able to find a bathing suit at WDW in December. When we were then in December, I was trying in vain to find a pair of shorts, since we had forgotten to pack DD's. I was told that Disney doesn't stock many summer things during the winter months, since is usually is colder in Dec and Jan. I asked in SEVERAL stores, and even had Poly concierge looking, nothing at all on WDW property. Luckily it didn't get that warm and they really weren't needed. I'd buy a 18 month suit when they go on sale. That should be big enough, but not too big to be usable. If your child is on the slim side, then buy 12 months, my DD who is 5 can still fit into size 3 suits since she's so slim, but needs 5 for everything else!!!

We are going in Dec also and Athena will be 13 months. We bought a really cute Disney Princess 2 piece with cover-up for only $6.88 at Walmart. I thought that was a great price. I got her a size 18 months. You can also return anything at Walmart without a receipt, as long as the price tag is still on it.
