I just couldn't believe my eyes when I saw bathing suits on the racks at Walmart. This is the earliest they have ever been out! At this rate they will probably only wait a few more months before they put the Christmas decorations back out. I guess I should start shopping for summer clothes soon, before the stores put them all on clearance & nothing is left.

Better increase the diet and excercise!

Don't forget that there are lots of people who go on vacation to warm weather places in the winter.

Spring break does start in about a month...

I never understood why Spring break started in feb....

No Swimsuits!!! I'm Not Ready For Swimsuits!!!

For people who cruise and such.

Plus the winter stuff is going on clearence in a lot of stores. This is a relatively slow time in retail sales. A good time to get the floor set up for spring/summer merchandise. :D

Ah. They should call it mid-winter break then. :)

::yes:: Plus spring break is only a couple months away here.

Just bought a bathing suit on Saturday. On the look out for good shorts for our cruise. I've lost a lot of weight and do not fit well into my old shorts or bathing suit at all! Couldn't shop in the late summer because I had no clue if I would hit my goal (which I did and passed) or what I would look like if I did. I hope I see more of them and shorts soon :teeth:

Wow, your Walmart is SLOW! Our Costco has had them out for several weeks already. Got dd a great Speedo for $11.

I'm ready for the spring stuff to come out. I'm tired of winter.....

I was about to say that when I went shopping this weekend, the spring/summer stuff was out full force. Not to mention Valentines day and Easter. Is it me or do things seem to be coming quicker and quicker??? Retail, it's all about the might dollar!!

We have both a mid-winter break (Feb.) and a spring break (April).

I'm glad the stores are putting the summer items out early this year. Last year I had an awful time finding summer clothes for our Easter trip to WDW.

I’m just dreading shopping for the perfect bathing suit. :earseek:

I've seen them at costco and old navy too. I actually like the walmart bathing suits. They're cheap so I don't mind if they get ruined plus they're good at keeping everything contained

it's what they call "seasonal". in retail, they can't have empty floor space, so when the "winter" is gone...the only thing they have to put in it's place is "summer". like "back to school" then "halloween" takes it's place, then "christmas" takes it place and so on.... it's only to fill in the "seasonal" space on the sales floor. (plus what others have said about early vacationers and such)

I bought speedo sandals at sam's a week ago
the summer stuff is everywhere yeah
I noticed besides the bathing suits at target they were starting to get the sand toys, pool toys, etc in.

I haven't owned a swimsuit in 2 years and I'm not about to start now. If they make them in my size, they are hideously ugly in that they:

a)have an annoying little granny skirt at the hips
b)are monotone in some hideous color like avocado or aqua
c)have an extremely large, unflattering print like giant flowers, butterflies, etc
d)come in two pieces, neither of which cover what needs to be covered in a flattering way and besides..now they don't sell two piece as a set anymore. You have to pay for BOTH pieces seperatly which bugs the crap outta me. I would NEVER wear a two piece but if I did, it would be annoying to have to buy the top seperate from the bottom. Why do they do that anyway?
