For anyone who has been to the disney store recently...are there are bathing suits out yet, or other spring/summer clothes? I want to take my 5 yr olds out for a day at the mall to get their new bathing suits for our april trip. The disney store in my area is a bit of a distance, so I dont want to make the trip for no reason. One of my twins wants a tinkerbelle bathing suit, so i hope they have some. Thanks.

Yes I just bought some yesterday. They had a really cute Tinkerbelle one with a skirt, and tankini tinkerbelle and a one piece Ariel. THere were more but those are the ones I bought so I remember them! They also had the matching cover ups and sandals and even beach bags I think.

My Disney store had lots of girl stuff but only a few boys things. From what I can remember the only boys stuff was Buzz. I wish I had a girl just so I could buy this very cute Tink sweater.

I saw the ones at the disney store and I also saw the cutest tinkerbelle bathing suit at Kohl's yesterday. My 5yr old wanted it badly!!!

For what its worth...I bought my DD a suit on sale real cheap at Disney store last year-a one piece princess one and it was HUGE so I figured I'd just put that one aside and buy her another one in a smaller side but that one had huge leg holes too. SO...I think I'ld lean toward the tankini rather than the one piece unless they've really changed their styles....

We were there today and I believe the suits are $19.50. They still only go to 10/12 and thats a pretty small running one. I dont understand why they dont go up one more size as there are alot of girls who are a little older that would still like to wear those suits..

Also they are giving out coupons for 15% off bet. Feb 4-14 so that would bring the suits down to 16.57

Thanks for the info everyone. I am so glad because I told my daughters I would take them on Monday. Figures the coupons arent good until the 4th. I am sooo glad they have Tink because that is all one of my girls has talked about now for months. :cool1:

Well I went to the Disney Store, but didn't bring my daughter with me. I looked at the bathing suits and the butts look way to big. My girl is a 6 year old walking stick and really has no butt, so I'm pretty sure if I got one big enough for the lenghth, it would be too wide. I might take her with me next week and look again, as NYS has no sales tax from 1/31 - 2/6, so I'd save even more with no tax. Do any of you have skinny-minnies that fit into these suits? princess:

My daughter is a skinny one however she is also long waisted so the tops are always way too short

Just be warned about their bathing suits. The ironed on image will not stay on after more then a couple of washings (even on gentle cycle) Even the gowns can't be washed or dryed without the princesses designs (or whatever is on yours) more then a couple of times before it the image comes off. :confused3

They've tried test marketing size 14 girls clothes and they don't sell enough of them to make it worth stocking them. They always end up on clearance.

This is true. opt for the suits that have the design actually as part of the fabric as opposed to an "iron on" patch.

BTW--they cut the suits for an "average" size. So "twiggy" girls will find it lose, and heavy girls will find it tight. What can you do?

I think they need to test market the larger size in swimsuits again - especially swimsuits. The CMs at the store I was at said they get people asking about the larger size in swimsuits all the time. A girl who wears a 10 in clothing most always wears a larger size in swimsuits just like most adults do

I thought the Disney bathing suits ran pretty true to size. The ones I have to watch out for is Baby Gap. I bought dd a size 6 bathing suit last summer (without her there to try it on) and I'm hoping that she can fit in it this year! They really ran big.

I think the bottoms run true to size in 2 pieces but the tops are always cut too short and the one pieces seem to run short too..

Just got my DD a tink tankini, and she normally wears a 4-5 but I had to buy a 6 for it to fit her.

my dd is just now fitting well in her 4/5 suits. she has the one pieces and two pieces. ( she is 32lbs and going on 5) last year they hung too low and the bottoms had to be taken in. I try and buy them at the end of the season and save them for the next year. I find that the iron on designs come off with washing so Im not wasting alot of money on them anymore.

That's the problem I had only I'd say my 44"/42 lb DD is "average" not skinny-minnie. The Disney Store suit's bottoms or leg openings on the one piece I bought was substantially bigger than several other brands we have-even in bigger sizes. She can wear the Disney suit to a pool but I wouldn't want her to wear this loose suit to the beach and get all sandy....

Huh?

I've always worn the same size in a swimsuit that I do in clothes.
