I live in Virginia. Today it is supposed to be in the 30s. We have only JUST begun our cold weather. Jan-Mar are the pits--cold, windy, icy, etc. So, when I went into Target yesterday after work, they had just put out the swimsuits.
Now, I know that stores no longer sell merchandise regionally like they used to. I swear, 20 years ago, the swimsuits weren't out until May and if you needed one in the winter (like for a vacation) you either had to go to a sporting goods store and pick up a Speedo or you had to go to Nordstrom as they had a "cruisewear" section.
All the sweaters were on 50% clearance. I guess I missed out on stocking up on some winter items.
