Would you wear a bathing suit skort to the parks with a quick dry type t shirt? I've been considering it , I just hate getting soaked on Kali River Rapids and my kids like to go on it multiple times. In the skort I would be way more comfortable going over and over again with them, not having to worry about getting soaked, knowing it would not be uncomfortable walking around in after. Oh, and we are going in September.

Depends on how long the skort is.

Now that we can't get a FP and do Kali just before we leave, that idea doesn't sound entirely bad.

I wouldn't.

Hey- I actually ordered several "dri-more" type skorts by Danskin from Walmart.com for about 11.00 each.

They were perfect! The length is longer than a swimsuit skort and they dry super quick!

No, i wouldn't. I would just wear some quick dry shorts that day (not denim or the like). Just some running shorts or the like. bring some plastic (poncho, tarp, etc) and wrap your waist on down in it before you go on.

Thanks for the quick replies, I guess if I have to ask the I have my answer!:rolleyes1. I do have quick dry shorts I bought last trip but I still find it wasn't as quick dry as I thought and it was still uncomfortable. I will check out the longer skort, that sounds good. I did try the poncho last time but I did find it a pain in the but.

Any recommendations on brands of quick dry shorts?

I have a swim skirt from Lands End (the longer one, they make short ones also). I also have a long sleeve swim shirt. That is what I wear all the time to Six Flags. I LOVE it  I can get totally drenched and it dries quickly. If I start to get hot all I have to do it walk by a fountain and get my arms wet, it keeps me so cool in the heat! It protects me from the sun also (I had melanoma 10 years ago), all I have to do is spray my legs and I'm good to go. At Six Flags it is wonderful because there is an attached waterpark so I can go straight from a water slide to a coaster and back to the wavepool without ever having to change. I've never felt funny walking around in it at all, it's super cute and WAY more coverage than most of the other people there :rotfl:

I actually think they are a fab idea!
I wera all sorts of different oufits to the parks but my fav outfit is to wear a costume and shorts or linen trousers " and NO ive never been asked to cover up in my 20 something 3 wk trips"I also wear girl style board shorts.

My boys wear boardshorts to the parks as they dry real quick and are really comfy,Dh also wears them most days we always go back and change for dinner even if its in a park.

Id say wear what ever your comfy in as long as your not walking round in just a swimsuit or bikini you will be :thumbsup2fine

I would do it, as long as it covers your whole booty! Also, check out board shorts as an alternative.

I wore longish running skirts (skirt attached to shorts) and they were perfect! The material is quick-dry, but not as thick as bathing suit material, so less hot. The shorts are tight (like bike shorts), so no riding up or chafing. Here is an example: SkirtSports Happy Girl skirt
I liked that when I rode rides with straddle seats like Space Mountain I didn't have to worry about flashing people!
