I just realized that when we go to BCV w/ 1 BR in October, the only bathtub we will have is the whirlpool one. Last trip we had a 2BR so we had the low tub to give our kids a bath in. How do you give a bath to a 1 yr old in the whirlpool? Since the sides of the whirlpool are so much higher, how do parents give the kids a bath? Won't it hurt your knees and back?

We have one similar here at home, but we also have a regular tub in the other bathroom. DS (5) loves "Mommy's bath" because he can slide down the back  DD (almost1) is scared in it (but she loves the regular tub). She's too big for baths in the kitchen sink. I guess we'll have to practice giving her baths in the larger tub.

I know....such a minor problem!

well you could switch to OKW and get a 2-bedroom - for the same points (unless you are staying fri/sat)

we bathed our 1 year old in those baths.....not much of a problem...although it is uncomfortable....there is always the kitchen sink bath

ok....i guessed i missed the part about being too big for sink.............but if she is that big, she should be fine in that tub

I'd probably just get in with my baby.

I'd probably definitely hop in the tub with the 1-year old. I think the 5-year old would be fine in a shallowly-drawn whirlpool tub.

We have put all of our kids in the kitchen sink, both at home and while on vacation. Even the sink in the camper. When they are little like that, it is enough water to bath them in and allow them to splash some. Also, you don't have to worry about bending over too far. ::MickeyMo

I but my bathing suit on and got right in with her. DD was 10 months at the time though. She LOVED it when I turned on the jets. I brought some of her bath toys to make it fun. It was VERY hard to get her out, she thought it was her own personal swimming pool.

Thanks for the advice! The only thing that concerns me about using the sink is the garbage disposal. I'm paranoid she'll get her foot stuck or something! (If you knew my luck, that wouldn't be too hard to believe LOL) Plus I think she's so used to taking baths in the regular tub she wouldn't be too happy in the sink again.

You could get in with them. You could also buy one of those blow up tubs from Babies R Us for your tip and put that in the bath.
