Bath & Body Works bargain

I do NOT like BBW lotions, but LOVE thier body wash!
I have a ton of lotions that I've gotten that I try to give away.
So, if anyone on here would like to trade or have a specific scent they like I would be happy to share what I have.

So, let me ask - would any of you like to receive this gift early next December or would you think it was 'too old'?

About the only thing I wouldn't give a year old is food. Lotions and soaps - sure - no problem. What do you think?

I wouldn't give a year old gift and would be a bit bothered if someone gave me a gift that I recognized as "old." I'm not even a person who puts a lot of meaning on gifts and for the most part prefer not to exchange. I would be afraid that someone who does love receiving gifts would be more than bothered and actually offended.

Honestly, this is the main reason that I stopped participating in Secret Santa at work. It seemed that people gave things that they got a good deal on with little regard to whether or not they were something that the recipient would really enjoy. It got to the point that after the 3 weeks of Secret Santa, I was left with a lot of useless clutter.

However, you know your friends. If they won't mind, then it's fine. I buy 6 months to a years worth of Bath and Body for personal use and it keeps just fine.

We went to Bath and Body Works last night and got some good deals. It was an unexpected stop and I did not have my email coupon, but the clerk was able to get a code so I got $10 off .

OP, I bought this bag for myself today!! My inlaws gave me some Japanese Cherry Blossom, so I exchanged it for Cherry Blossom plus the gift bag! It's very cute, and I may well go back and grab one or 2 for gifts. Thanks for the heads up---what a great deal!!

Thanks OP. My son has to provide a basket for a silent auction fundraiser for his HS baseball team. It has to be valued at $50. I just picked up one of these cute bags and added a long handled shower brush for $5. Since there is more than $100 dollars worth of merchandise in it will be more than sufficient. I think I'm still going to try to get a local nail salon to donate a free pedicure to go with it and we are set. Oh and my total with the shower brush and the bag minus the $10 coupon was $23.xx. Woohoo

For those who asked about the shelf life of BBW, I can tell you the antibacterial soap is long lasting. I have tendency to hoard it when they discontinue a scent I like. Lat year, when I realized Twisted Peppermint wasn't a part of the holiday line-up, I ordered a ton of it (already a year old) from the website. I'm still using it, so I guess that puts it at about 2 years old. Still works great and smells delicious!

Realistically how good do you think those products will be after a year? Anyone that knows B&BW would know that it was a year old.

I have some bath and body works stuff that I have had for years. I went through it last night and all of them still smelled and looked fresh. Except for the shay cashmere that one had changed scents so I had to throw it away. They rarely change but to me I would be happy with a gift of bbw. No mater how old.

As to the references to the age of the products....I went shopping in our local BBW last winter and they were bringing boxes of products right into the store from the truck that was delivering it. The products (lotions and liquid pump soaps) were frozen and one of the employees was explaining to me that we are the 'end of the line' (northern Montana) and the products frequently arrive frozen from being in the back of a semi. They bring the boxes in and open them to thaw them out before putting them out on shelves. I swear, I think their products must be indestructible!

Lotions IMOP keep fine. I have stuff I bought for myself last April I have not used yet and theysmell great. Soap keeps forever, bath gel too. Perfume can get funky after it has been in the light for a while, I store mine in a dark drawer

I loved the Frosted Snowflake??? from years ago. People sold it on Ebay for years after (expensive too). I found some when we moved, way back in our bathroom closet and it was fine! It had to be really old too.

I too got the gift bag set and I'm using it for DD's Easter basket. I used the coupon inside and got a product from the same line as the items inside and found a huge JellyBelly gift box at Kohl's for 5$ and it fit nicely in the bag. This will be an awesome Easter for her

OP here - I'm so glad so many people have gotten in on this bargain! I went back this morning just to see if they had any more - since I had to go to the store next to BBW - and they still have a LOT at my store. I'm starting to wonder if they'll lower them even more?! Any thoughts? Anyone seen this type of thing go to 80% or 90% off at B&BW?

I got lots of antibacterial and foaming soaps for 75% off today--$1.25. They were not holiday scents either--one was an orange and one was wild honeysuckle. Also got small bottles of shampoo for 78 cents and some lip glosses for $2.
