Wouldn't it make more sense to have the green apple sherbet be green, and the grape sherbet be purple? Or am I just not creative enough to see why B-R decided to do it like this?

I was too busy wondering how they kept the popping candy from popping in the ice cream, since I thought that stuff was activated by moisture... But you make an excellent point, SyracuseWolvrine.

I don't get it. How does giving away ice cream make money for charity? Are there donation jars?

No there are not donation jars. At least not at Ben & Jerry's and Baskin Robbins.

I do know at Ben & Jerry's they were tallying up everyone, and the type of cone they got. Maybe they used that data to correlate into what would be sales, and they donate that amount to the cause.

The Baskin Robbins in the midwest do not participate in this promotion. Every year, bunches of people show up to find out they don't participate. Since the people are there with their kids, they usually end up buying ice cream. They make out like bandits.

We just got home. First went to the BR in Newark DE which is a college town. The line was too long. So we went to the one in Elkton and only waited about 5 minutes. Not bad for free.
