Hi Friends:

Quick wiring question. I purchased a 20 amp timer switch for my bathroom exhaust fan. The switch has 4 wires: green, white, black, blue.

Green to ground, no problem.

Blue and black, one to each of the two black wires currently attached to current SP switch.

White to the currently twisted white wires in the box. Unscrew wire nut around this set, and add white switch wire and twist back together with wire nut.

Does this look correct?

Thanks in advance,
Fun Family

A self-serving bump in hopes of catching the attention of the Bob Villa types in the crowd.

Thanks in advance.

Sounds right to me, but my experience is limited.....I have wired a few lights and fans around the house though. But I'm not even sure what the item you mentioned is..."20 timer switch"? What is that?.....P

Thanks for the feedback.

I meant to type "20 amp". The initial post had now been corrected.

official real life bob villa type,, only i really am a carpenter and home repair specialist not a tv host by any means,, sounds ok to me,, should be white to white,, blue to light, black to fan, green to ground,, so since all you have are 2 blacks it should be ok that way,, posts a big i didnt do it diusclaimer to this post so the disability ppl cant claim i was working:)

Hate to state the obvious but please shut the power off at the breaker before unattaching, attaching any wires. That way you can come back tomorrow and tell us how it works:teeth:
