I would definitely go with the DxDP. We are a family that likes to sit down and really enjoy our meals, plus we love to do the character meals in the mornings for the kids and have a nice meal at a signature restaurant for mom and dad....everyone is happy. We did the DxDP for the first time this past September and when we were planning out our May trip, my DH made it known that we are going to be doing it again :goodvibes. Good luck and happy eating.

We're trying Deluxe in June, but our circumstances are very different than yours. This is an adults-only trip, we're doing a signature for dinner each night, and no CS. When I plugged everything in to a dining calculator my savings by choosing the DxDP was about $300.

side note....I'm from Lufkin Tx....do you know it? My folks are coming with us, but it's not worth it for them to upgrade.

Thanks, since hubby is a big eater he could easily use up our "extra" credits. By this I mean last year the kids sometimes split a kids CS and shared mine. We had a few extra kids meals I used for snacks and hubby used for snacks. So it would be nice to have extra "meals" to use even for CS or like some said for Hoop De Doo. I would love to that, but already have 2 dinners with 2 credits on only the basic plan.

I am just starting to plan a trip for a family (sort-of) reunion - there will be between 9-13 people for 10 days. I was debating about deluxe or basic, we've (3 of us) done basic and ended up paying for 2 meals OOP but it was not a big deal (we did Hoop dee Doo and the Luau @ 2 tix each).

This upcoming trip everybody wants to do the Luau, Royal Table, Hoop Dee Doo and Le Cellier (if I can even get ADRs for them!) so I am going to do some math and see what is what - but it sounds like the deluxe would be a good choice - heck we might even do the Grand Gathering at Epcot and then that would be another 2 tix which would bring it to 10 tixs for 5 meals.

I love the snack tixs and always save mine to stock up for the trip home ;)

DH and I have always done Deluxe. We usually upgrade when it is free dining. So the cost isn't that much. We love to get at signature meals. Those are usually about $150.00 or more each. We don't drink, so no wine or such. We love to eat at Ohara or Crystal Palace, 1900 Park Faire etc for breakfast. Don't really like the CS.

We stay for 14 days and have lots of time to do everything that we want and to have three sit down meals a day. It's nice that it is all paid for and we don't have to worry about anything. We usually bring lots of goodies home with our snack credits.

Well worth the money.
