Do you tend to pay OOP for your breakfast when on this plan? We would like Bagels, danishes, cereal in the AM. Is my best plan to pay OOP for these?

We usually throw a box of cereal in the luggage. Get a thing of milk and maybe a muffin and/or banana from food court using snack credits to have that plus the cereal for breakfast. We share some CS meals (2 adults, 2 kids - might split 2 - 3 CS meals) - so we will be sharing a couple of CS breakfasts next time up too.

we plan on paying oop for 3 breakfast meals. hopefully later as a brunch if in the parks and for resort breakfast we will use our counter service for lunches. One day we are using a TS for lunch and a CS for dinner. We figured 100.00 per breakfast meal to come to an extra 300.00 for 4 adults. We only plan on 2 scheduled meals per day as we tried the 3 times eattign and it was too much time in restaurants and not enough time to visit the parks

We wouldn't be able to use all of our CS credits unless we used some for breakfast.

I sometimes package a couple of items, like a bagel and danish, as a CS meal for breakfast. Just tell the CMs you want to charge it that way to your plan, and they'll oblige.

POP let us get 1/2 gal of milk and box of donuts for 1S CR each...but apparently that is done with:confused3

We brought breakfast bars, pop tarts & Zone bars for breakfast in the room; we brought dinner dessert back for the next morning's breakfast :goodvibes and the last morning we had breakfast w/ CS at POP.

We might try the MK bakery or the French or Norway bakeries for pasteries once or twice. You can use CS for drinks & pasteries or 1S cr for pasteries alone.

We also did a coffee pot swap, so had AM coffee in room for next to nothing.

There is no way we could eat a full breakfast, CS for lunch and TS for dinner each day. The light breakfast gets us out the door quickly in the AM so we can hit parks at opening. Then we are very ready for lunch at 11AM when lines aren't long for lunch yet, and we always schedule TS ADRs between 5 & 6, again to beat the rush. We hit the parks all day, then head to POP for a swim before bed by 9:30 (DS8 is human alarm clock--7AM every day. w/o 9+ hours of sleep, he has melt downs)

We use one CS and one SC for breakfast. DS gets the breakfast platter with two cold beverages and I usually get a chocolate croissant....

We usually get a small breakfast item using a snack credit. The value and moderate food courts have a wide array in particular of things you can get with a snack credit, including bagles, muffins, toast and yogurt. We also may get one or two breakfast platters with a cs credit and share those along with some snack items. Then do the same at lunch, sharing a couple of cs lunches between the four of us. I sometimes also pack some pop tarts or granola bars to help supplement. We rarely end up paying for much of anything OOP. With some sharing and some careful planning, we can do all right.

Another thing I like to do is grab something from a theme park bakery on my way out of the park for the next morning. Leftover desserts from your ts meal also make tasty breakfasts!

I packed poptarts, granola bars, and cereal bars in my luggage to eat most mornings. My kids have a thing for chocolate milk, so I ended up paying OOP for a few milks for them.

We also used our snack credits a couple times for huge ice cream cones at 9am. I love vacation ;)

So you get a danish and a bagel, then 2 drinks on a CS Credit? That would be nice. You need to ask for that right?

A big box of cereal, muffins, milk and Coffee are enough to get us started. The Moderate resorts (most if not all) come with a coffee pot and Fridge. If you have a car stock up at Walmart at the start of your trip or get some things near DTD like the HESS gas station. We do split a couple CS for a few days for breakfast as well.

We usually take along a few small items that work for breakfast or snack (granola bars, dried fruit, etc.).

Also, we tend to not want dessert at both lunch and dinner during the day, so we take those to go and they are available at breakfast time as well.

If you are staying in a resort with a coffee pot in the room (or will have one anyway) you could also bring instant oatmeal and make that for breakfast.

You also have the option of using snack credits for breakfast items (such as a bagel).

It really just depends on what you want to do.

We dont wake up very early and usually make it to the parks by 9:30 or 10 and then we usually use our counter service for and early lunch.

We usually do 1TS for breakfast like Boma or Crystal Palace, Do 1 or 2 CS for breakfast like Tonga Toast from Capt Cooks or a made to order omlet at Riverside and the other breakfast we use the SC to get a hot cinnamon roll or a blueberry muffin.

Speaking of Port Orleans......Benignants are only a Snack and make for a GREAT start to the morning with a cup of coffee! If you are at PORFQ you must try them.

Yes, coffee, we alway get the mug and have several mugs along with breakfast before heading to the park, no matter how hot it is. And when using a CS you get the 2 drinks since we already have the mug for coffee we usually get a orange juice and also a bottle of water to take to the park. :surfweb:

I believe it's usually either:
1 sweet item (e.g. danish) + 1 savory item (e.g. bagel) + 1 drink (e.g. coffee OR juice)
OR
1 breakfast item or combo (e.g. danish OR bagel) + 2 drinks (e.g. coffee AND juice)

Just make it clear when you're at the register that you want to charge it as a CS credit. I've never had a problem at all with this. The two items are cheaper together than any of the breakfast entrees, so it's not like you're getting away with anything.

I've never heard of this. I've always been able to charge a bagel, a danish (or muffin), and get the usual 2 breakfast drinks, as 1 CS credit.

We were wondering the same thing about paying OOP for b'fast. We are in one of the villas at the Wilderness Lodge so we have a full kitchen. I'm thinking we'll pick up bread, peanut butter, muffins....stuff like that for mornings when we're not going out to breakfast.

But I was wondering if it made more sense to pay OOP for bigger breakfasts (Kona Cafe, Whispering Canyon) and save the TS credits for dinner/lunch where it's a bit more expensive. I'd rather use a TS credit on a meal at LTT for dinner than Kona Cafe for breakfast. You get more value for it.

Hmmm..
