Basic Dining Plan and ADRs

We made all of our ADRs for our upcoming trip. I know we're only allowed 1 TS meal a day and 1 CS meal.. however, if we want to do 2 TS meals is it okay that we made ADRs for those 2 TS meals and we just pay for the extra 1? TIA!!!!!!!!

You can do 2 TS meals in a day and use your credits. It does not matter how you use the credits. If you want to do 2 ts meals one day and 2 cs meals the next it's up to you.

But we have 2 TS meals booked for each day we're there... 1 character or resort restaurant meal and 1 sit-down dinner each night... then whatever CS for lunch (my husband has to eat 3 meals a day!!!)... so because of that, would it be okay to just pay for the extra meals??? Sorry for being confusing!!!

Yes, your server will ask if you are on the dining plan. For the meals that you want to pay for tell them no and just pay regular.

I would figure out which is going to be the cheaper meal of the two and pay for that one.

We do this often! We use the dining plan, but pay cash for 3-4 additional ts meals, usually character breakfasts, because we like them.

What about upgrading to the Deluxe Dining Plan which allows you up to 3(?) Ts meals a day plus, I think, 2 snacks. Someone else here could tell you better about what all it includes but if you are planning on paying oop for 1 or more ts a day it may be worth trying.

This is what we do, too . We use our TS credits for dinners each night since those are usually more expensive, and then we just pay OOP for any breakfasts we do.....because there's always atleast 3 we have to do every trip and breakfast is cheaper .

I agree-use your TS for Dinner (or lunch) and pay OOP for breakfasts. Other than our last breakast we only use our TS for dinners. And we use most of our CS for lunches. We usually eat our breakfast in our room. Occasionally we'll have breakfast in the food court if we find we are going to have alot of CS left .
