Hubby gave me the go ahead to book 4 Night for next February directly following WDW/US vacation. We cruised the 7 Night Magic 2/02. Could someone give me the basic differences between the two? Did I read there is no formal night on 4 Night? Does dinner rotation matter? What are age groups for kids club? DS will be 7. DD & Pal will be 17 & 16. Thanks!

The biggest difference isssssss........3 nights!! LOL (I just couldn't resist) On the 7 night rotatios are set on the 4 night they change. Tropical is in Parrot Cay, formal in Luminares etc. Age groups for kids are the same....good luck!

There is no formal night on the 4-day cruise. You'll rotate through all three restaurants (Wonder substitutes Triton's for Lumiere's as the dressier restaurant, but the other two are the same) and repeat your first restaurant on the fourth night.

Another difference, of course, is where you go. The 4-days all do Nassau and Castaway Cay. Some also make a stop in Freeport and others do a day at sea instead.

Kids clubs should be the same as on Magic. As of November 2003 there still was a teen coffee house on Wonder.

Age groups are 3-4, 5-7, 8-9, 10-12, 13-14, 15-17.

The difference in the teen deal is really one of space more than program. The Magic has been re-tooled so the teens are in what used to be the ESPN sky box. On the WOnder, they are still in the smaller space on deck 9.

The biggest difference is that the 4 night is about 3 nights too short.....

The Seven night cruise offers more things like the Wine Tasting and I'm pretty sure the champagne lunch is only on the 7 day.

The wine tasting and champagne brunch at Palo offered on the 4-day as well.

Tea with Wendy, High Tea at Palo, most of the lectures/classes and formal/semi-formal nights are not offered on the Wonder. The night you go to Triton's (equivalent to Lumiere's on the Magic) will be your most dressy night...unless you go to Palo where they also request less casual dress.

The 7 night also offers family cabaret shows between the main shows. Our family really missed those on the 4 day (since they aren't available).

In February, the itenerary difference might make a bigger difference in the weather. The 4 night stay further north, and you might not enjoy what you would consider swimsuit weather. The 7 nights would only very rarely not have swimsuit weather, since they go quite a bit further south.

There is also no character breakfast on the 4 day. :(

We had done the 7-day Eastern and Western cruises, so I told my Mom about the character breakfast (she is still a kid at heart) and she was excited to be able to eat with Mickie, Minnie and the gang and take pictures. We were informed by our head server there is no character breakfast on the shorter cruises, so she was kind of disappointed.

tkd lisa-

What are the family cabaret shows? I don't recall this on our last 7 day cruise.
