Basement Waterproofing

Does anyone have any experience in getting your basement waterproofed? We talked with two waterproofers with totally different opinions.

We had a foundation crack fixed many years ago, using a bentonite slurry on the exterior, below grade. It did the job, never a drop since. Check this site for some good help in maybe learning about your situation. Different types of problems require different approaches. Good luck.
