I know it's a small place in HS to grab a quick beer and small plate. Is it ever crowded? The 4 of us think we will visit. Any thoughts?

There isn't much room inside. Most seating is outside. It's definitely a small place and yes it can get crowded. $10 charcuterie & cheese is a Disney bargain!

Depending on the time of day you go, yes, it can get crowded even outside. We have always managed to find somewhere to sit but it's not always easy and there have been times where we have used the big communal table and I sat and my son stood.

If you want to try it best to go when they open ... 11:00 AM I think. We got a nice seat under one of the overhangs next to the building (shade) and enjoyed a nice break and some great beer and snacks!

As others have said, it depends when you go. We have rarely had a wait mid afternoon and have been able to find a seat outside.
Early afternoon and later afternoon, we have seen long lines.
When we go by, if there is a long line, we go back later.

We often rope drop Baseline (priorities) and get in line around 10:30, and we’re usually not even the first people in line. Our last trip - early March, we got off Star Tours around 10:30ish and headed there to get in line, and it was already open even though there was no indication on the app that the opening time had changed from 11:00am. Seating can be difficult because the outside seating is a free-for-all and isn’t saved for the Baseline customers. Anyone can come up and grab a seat.

It stays pretty crowded. Last fall when we went, the line was out the door and down the sidewalk. DH got in line and I stalked around for a place to sit. I was able to get a couple seats side by side at the big center table outside. I'm not a huge beer drinker, so I just had water, but the wait was worth it for the pretzel - it was so good.

It is a great spot! It is a "must do" on every HS visit with my family. But yes, it is small so it often crowded.

We do go early. Even then, there have been a few times that we have to sit at the patio tables further down by the Commissary because the ones for Baseline are full. Once we snagged the high top table inside and that was great since it was a hot day.

Yes, when we were there it looked very crowded for lunch and early afternoon. We went about 4pm when it had a relatively short line and we even found inside seating.
FYI- if you are lucky enough to get a seat at the bar top that faces the windows, there are electrical outlets under that have USB plugs. It was great for recharging phones.

This is my experience as well. If you early-entry rope drop HS, you’ll be ready for a break by 10:30-10:45. It will feel more like noon. Baseline is usually open by then with a short line and good places to sit and people watch. There are also some nice shady tables right around the corner in front of ABC Commissary - just return your platter to Baseline when you’re done. Disney is the only place I’ll have a beer and a pretzel at that time of day, but it hits the spot. Disney Breakfast of Champions, haha!
