Going to Anaheim this summer. Just got a few questions. We are thinking of going to watch the Angels and wondering what is the best way to get there? We are staying in Hilton Garden inn. Will we be able to get transport to and from the park or will it be better to drive? The problem with driving is, having read other posts, there are not enough parking spaces at this particular hotel. People reccomend using the shuttles to parks because of this. Has anyone any experience of getting to and from the baseball? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Another question regards parking in Hollywood. Is there plenty of public parking that can be used all day? Same for beaches, which is easiest to park by?

Thanks

You can take the shuttle from ESPN Zone to Edison Field.

Angels tickets and ESPN Zone SuperShuttle
Angel fans can now purchase tickets to any upcoming Angels’ game at the ESPN Zone at the SportsCenter Studio Store and a special round-trip bus shuttle service from ESPN Zone to Angel Stadium is available, courtesy of SuperShuttle, throughout the entire regular season.

The round-trip SuperShuttle bus service, on sale now for just $3.00 per game, will depart from the ESPN Zone (located at 1545 Disneyland Drive, Anaheim, CA) one hour before the start of the game and deliver fans to the Home Plate Gate area at Angels Stadium. The shuttle service will also provide two different departure times from Edison Field back to ESPN Zone. The first bus will leave two hours after the start of the game and the second bus will depart 15 minutes following the game’s conclusion.

In Hollywood, there are parking structures near Hollywood and Highland. And several pay lots too. I don't know about free parking in the Hollywood area.

Beach parking is always difficult in the summer. Which beach will you be visiting?

Thanks for swift response. That sounds like a good idea, the shuttle from Espn Zone, do they limit the numbers or do they have a number of shuttles? As for beaches we were planning on Venice Beach and is it Long Island or beach? The one with the boat docked there. I guess these two are popular, maybe worth reconsidering as I dont want the hassle of looking for parking spots in unfamiliar areas. Can you recommend any quieter beaches? Thanks again.

You may also want to consider switching to the Hilton Suites if able. It is right across the street from the field. They also have a shuttle to the parks every 30mins if you don't have a car. It is about 2.5 miles from the parks.
This was the view from our room last week.

Not really worth changing hotels for 1 game. The only prob I have with the shuttle from ESPN zone is that I would have to get to Downtown Disney to catch that shuttle. Weighing it all up, it will be as easy to drive there. What are the odds of getting a taxi cab after the game back to the hotel? Will there be a problem ticket wise to just turn up on the night? Do they sell out often?

If you are going to Hollywood and the beach, it sounds like you will have a car. To avoid traffic, you can park at the DTD only parking lot then take the shuttle over to Anaheim Stadium. The DTD parking lot has up to 5 hours free with validation...Angels have a good team on paper. So technically it should be pretty packed. For good teams like the Yankees or BoSox, it would be pretty hard to get tickets. Otherwise, it shouldn't be too hard. Check out ebay......

Most beaches have public parking, but it is either pay or metered. Some beaches will have street parking in neighborhoods, but depending on how hot it is and when you go, those spaces are gone pretty quick.

Hollywood has parking, but it is hourly parking in garages or lots. I wouldn't think you'd spend all day there. There really isn't much to see unless you are going to a TV taping, show or studio tour.
