Just venting for a moment...
It has been 18 years since the Orioles won the AL East. We haven't had many winning seasons lately but I have stayed true, always supporting them. The team did a lottery today to select people that will be given the opportunity to purchase tickets to the division series games next week. DH and I both entered but didn't get picked :(. I was feeling good since today is 45 days until my trip. I am hoping to pass the time quickly by following my O's to the World Series. Now I need to wait until they go on sale to the GP on Monday and hope we can get 3 seats together. There is no way I could go to a playoff game and not take DS6. Come on DISer's, send me some good mojo.

A bunch of us in our family also entered the lottery. I think 8 of us entered and we are all LOSERS.

I didn't realize any tickets would be available to the general public. But, DD is getting married October 4 and the rehearsal is the 3rd so our time is limited. :rotfl:

Good luck and Go O's!!

The thing that I hate about big ticket games like this is that corporations will get a lot of tickets. I mean, a lot of these places sponsor the team in one way or another but it's still frustrating because people will get the opportunity to go who don't really care about going just because they know the right people when regular joes who are dying to go won't be able to, or they'll have to shell out tons of money on the resale market in hopes that their tickets aren't fake.

I guess I'm kind of glad that Seattle has lost their ground in the playoff race because then I don't have to worry about this.

I have 1 friend that got selected but the lottery offer limits you to 4 tickets. She needs a ticket for her DH so I would have to leave DS or DH home, because I am going.
The games are the 2nd and 3rd but at this point I don't care which one I go to. DS is only 6 but already asking for World Series tickets. Wish me luck on Monday.

Good luck getting 3 tickets! It sounds like you're going anyway :thumbsup2. The playoffs are always so fun!

I kind of wish I just had the option to purchase my regular season seats. It doesn't even have to be every game in the series, but I like my seat and I want to sit in it. Of course, the last time my team made the playoffs when I still had the full season plan I bought field level seats for the playoffs that I could never afford for a whole season, so that did turn work out nicely.

Although it wouldn't be ideal, I would even settle for the standing room tickets. I just want to be there for one of those games. If it all works out we will be able to get a set of tickets for each series.

You don't get your regular seats? That's really sad. Half the fun of a playoff game is being there with all your season ticket buddies around you.

Well, our play-off ticket package arrived today. The way our Oakland A's are playing, we don't anticipate using ANY of them!

We have a weekend season ticket plan and have our regular seats. They're excellent seats behind the plate in the lower section.

Bring on hockey season! We have about 20 San Jose Sharks games to go to.

If It helps, all the Baltimore fans are pulling for the A's.

when you say you support them what do you mean? specifically are you season ticket holders or ticket package holders?

In Philly, if you are a season ticket holder or you buy a 20 pack you get first crack at playoff tickets.
Although it's been a few years since the Phillies were in post season play that's what they did in 08 and 09.

DBF and I are also lottery losers. I really wanted to go. We went to the Wild Card game a couple of years ago and that was fun!

Unfortunately the price of tickets here is sky high so we don't have a regular season package. The season package we have doesn't qualify for the playoff tickets. I thought about changing it up for next year and placing my deposit on a higher priced 2015 package last night which would guarantee I get to buy playoff tickets but it would end up being over $1000 in the last month before our WDW trip. We go to a lot of games, about 20-25 a season we just have a cheaper way to get tickets than buying the package. DH works for a major sponsor of many MLB and MiLB teams so we get to buy half price tickets through his work for regular season games.

Nationals GP first round tickets were gone in 17 minutes :scared1:.

We are all hoping for a Nats-Orioles World Series!!

If the O's tickets go that fast I hope I get 3 of them. I will be parked at my desk, logged into my MLB account and ready to buy 30 minuted before they go on sale.

Do you know how many tickets you will be allowed to buy? Here it was 4 but I've read that other teams limit GP to 2

4 per game if selected in the lottery; 6 per game during the GP sale. I have a feeling I will be stressed until Monday. I just need 3 tickets. Not together and we would take standing room if we had too.

Pirates fan here .
Yep not a winning season in over 20 years until last year then all the bandwagon fans surface.

I bought tickets on stubhub last year and plan to do the same this year.
It sucks but if we want to go there isnt much of a choice.

Im an Os annual pass holder so of course we get first dibs. Fed ex just delivered all my DS, CS, and world series tickets yesterday. After the season pass holder window closes, they release whatever remaining tickets for sale to the general public lottery holders. If you're lucky enough to purchase any of those remaining tickets, most of the remaining tickets will be singles scattered throughout the upper deck. Chances are, I probably wont actually go to any of the games. I'll probably just resell mine on stubhub
