Baseball - It's What's on Your Mind.

Our school favors academics over sports. But sports are still pretty high up there. Although, our school would rather hold the title of "Honors School of Excellency" which we have ever since the school opened. It's funny how a public school, in the "country"- not really, but it's not the city, is one of the Top 5 schools in the state.

Academics win by a mile at my school but that is because we are private. The band and chorus are pretty respected but that's because everyone has so much spirit about everything and all and our sports teams are pretty bad. I mean our baseball team is one of the best in the state and softball(my team:cool1:) made it to the county finals last year but besides that nobody finishes with a winning record. Our football team hasnt won a game since 2008.

Our school are very supportive of our football team, cheerleaders, and band :goodvibes
Every time we have a football game, even away, the cheering section of stands are full of students from our school cheering us on and singing along to the stand songs,it lights me up <3

My school's definition of cheering:

Cheering- yelling at referees when they make a call against you, yelling at the coach when he makes a mistake, getting arrested for "supporting your team", etc. etc. etc.

While our teams do stink, our school still has a lot of spirit and all. Home games for ANY sport are always packed and away games draw good cwords too because we are private and kids live all over the place so sometimes its easier to go to away games then home games. Like for me, I live 5 minutes away from one school we play but 30 minutes from my school, guess where I go to more games at?:rotfl:

:lmao: What a school that is!

Most of the people in our cheering section sound drunk and stuff but at least they are supporting us :goodvibes

Around 3rd quarter, the drum section stands by the cheering section and plays for them and they dance to it. I love it <3

March is going by fast, that's good! Can't wait for day light saving time to start! <3

Our school has no spirit. The students sit there an entire game completely silent. The family members of players and other fans sit on their butts and eat their nachos. The sad thing is out sports teams are good; and we have tons of "fans" who do nothing. It is sickening.

Seriously,

The most pumped we have been this school year was when our girls upset a team. Of course, they started chants of "Start the bus" which is one of the stupidest things to say as they could easily start a fight.

I am soooo tired of SAT studying, I can not concentrate anymore:headache:

Next Saturday is going to be soo relazing after its over, well at least itll all be relaxing untill I get the scores back on MArch 31 and then might have to register for them again and go through this all again:rolleyes:

Our school has so much spirit for football, especially around Turkey Week,it's a fun week! :D.

Me too!!! I could have sworn today was Selection Sunday so I got all excited all week but then found out on Friday it wasn't, I was dissapointed. Can't wait untill next week now though!
I rush to the internet to print me out a bracket right after the Selection show. (:

I think filling out a bracket is one of my favorite sporting traditions of the year, I feel like I have no idea what Im doing half the time but it is stil soo much fun. 2 years ago I remember I picked some huge upset that happened, that was great!:lmao:

argh! gcse results come right in the middle of the summer holidays, when i'm most likely to be on holiday -_-
