We've taken our kids to the AAA baseball games in our area before, but we've always sat in the "normal" seats before. Last night, friends of ours borrowed a luxury box and invited us to go with them. We kept telling the kids that they'd like seeing a game this way, but they had no idea what to expect. Our DS didn't like the idea of having glass in the way of catching the ball and didn't understand that there was also outdoor seating.
When we got to the box, his eyes widened and he had an amazed smile on his face that almost screamed, " Wow, I came all the way from Russia for THIS!!!" Halfway through the game, he asked our host if he could always go to the games with them. But, it had to be in a box.
Today, all he could talk about was going to the game tonight. He expected that we'd go to all of them from now on, so we could have dinner and sit in the box.
It warmed all of our hearts to see his pleasure at last night's game.
