Will the All Star game affect crowds at DL either the weekend before or anytime after the game? Thinking of going to DL July 14 to 18th instead of weekend before that. Or would July 21 to 25 be better?

As someone coming to town, both as a DVC member, and someone that will be working during the games and the Home Run Derby, I would guess it will be busy. The players for this game often bring their families, so I picture days full of semi-famous families running around the park, plus the thousands of fans that will come from around the nation for the games.

There will be a FanFest going on too, which I would guess will be at the Anaheim Convention Center. It will have old-timers there, besides tons of fans. All in proximity of the parks.

That said, I booked my room at the GCV no problem this past week, and it's not even my home DVC resort. That would make me guess as of yet, there's no rush to get there.

Yes fanfest is at the convention center. I'd expect high crowds.

Will the crowds leave after the game on Tuesday since Fanfest is the weekend prior? We do not come in until the Wed right after the game.

You are asking for a prediction of people's plans, something no one can truly know. Will people come to town prior and then leave immediately after? Will people come to town on time for the game and stay after? Will people liking baseball want nothing to do with Disneyland? Of course, the answer to all of these questions is "yes" AND "no." People will do a variety of things with their travels plans and there truly is no way of knowing. My advice would be to plan your trip based on what works best for you and enjoy.

I understand that no one can predict everyone's plans, just looking for opinions. Thanks everyone.

As somebody that has attended three All-Star Games, I'd say crowds will likely return to normal by Thursday. Players/teams have to leave Wednesday because the season resumes Thursday, and most fans also seem to depart Wednesday. I'd expect maybe a busy morning on Wednesday at the park, but that it will die down early afternoon.
