Base Ideas for Mickey Lamp Post

Here is what I use from Menards for the lamp post. There are 2 options. One with a light sensor, one without. I prefer the light sensor version

Here is the 12 in globe and lamp base for the top of the pole.

This is what I use for the ears. This is from Lowes, but my Home Depot also has them.

Saw two bases this past week which were unique, at least to me. One was a piece of square granite probably 12x12x2. I did not get a good look to see how it was attached though. The other was one of those ornamental old time street lamp bases. It looked like the real deal so it would be very heavy

Has anyone used LED pucks in theirs??

I didn't use a puck, but I have an LED bulb that changes colors with a remote.

We also used the color changing led bulb in ours and have 2 smaller ones for the ears.

Wanted to stop in and show off the final product. We are using a planter base. We epoxy glued a pvc fitting in to secure the post, painted Mickey colors and we are using pebbles/stones for weight.
