BART round trip tickets - use on same day or open?

Hi All,

When in San Fran we're looking at using the BART to Powell Street for our airport transfers.
What I can't figure out is, will a round trip ticket work for us returning a few dats later or is this only a day of thing?

Can anyone help?

A BART ticket is good as long as there is enough $$$ on it. No expiration.
