Ok, so I thought I'd start a thread about shopping. Specifically, bargain shopping. Please post any bargains you find here. I don't care what it is. Clothes, CDs, DVDs, school supplies, toys, whatever.

Here, I'll start. I went to the mall today & there was a bunch of Land's End stuff on clearance at Sear's. I got a blue jean skort for DD-Lainie, 20 months. It was regularly $15. It was on sale for $7.99 + an additional 30% off. Bargain. I also got a t-shirt for Lainie that was on clearance for $6.99 + an additional 30% off. Bargain. I bought 1 thing that was NOT on sale. I got DS-Josh, 5 years old, a pair of Land's End jeans. He really needed a pair of jeans & they fit him so well.

Anyone else get any bargains lately?

I got DD5 a pair of new sneakers for kindergarten at Kohls, regularly 19.99, got them for $5.53!

I LOVE bargain-hunting!

I bought a Land's End T-shirt, black with thin stripes for 15.00. I got one of the last ones in small! This was a few days ago, though. :D

I had shopped on Kohls.com and had gotten a bunch of different things that were on sale or on clearance and even recieved free shipping since I spent over fifty dollars.

I got Avery the cutest Ralph Lauren Jeans that actaully fit her (she is tall and thin) for $19.99 at TJMaxx. I saw the exact same pair at Marshall Fields for $42.50. :)

Well true bargain was Village Thrift.

3 Limited Too jeans, one Limited too jacket (pink sparkly), T-shirt (GAP), my son got three pairs of jeans, and three shirts all for $12.50.

I am very very picky about the Thrift store and I only buy barely worn. I spend a long time combing over every rack, and inspecting every bit.

My non thrift bargain has to be at old navy

I bought some shorts for me for $3.99 (thats the usual Goodwill price)

Yesterday I found some clearanced jeans at the GAP for my son for $9.

I found tons of jeans/shirts at Sears last week.

A couple of weeks ago got DH a pair of khakis at Penney's. Regular price 24.00, clearance price 7.99.

Just back from the mall . I bought a new set of jammies at Dillards reg price $129.00 on sale for $19.99 ::yes::

I didnt know they were on sale I went to pick them up because DH talked me into it and there they were ON SALE !!!!

Got a pair of Puma tennis shoes ( not really tennis shoes more like shopping shoes ) for $99.00 reg price $120.00

Bought a bunch of kids clothes for for nephew and niece tons of Polo shirts for less then 10 bucks ..

Dillards is having a big sale for some reason .

I got DS(17) a pasta maker in the box with the directions (I think it was used once) for $1.00 at a yard sale. That has to be the bargain of the year!
He loves making homemade pasta!

I got a pair of G-Unit shorts (don't ask! ) for $19.22. Regular price is $34.50.

I got 2 pairs of JNCO jean shorts at JCPenney on Monday for $21.xx.

I got 3 pairs of khaki shorts at Sears for $23.xx.

And last week at Sears I got:

2 pairs of JNCO shorts for $7.49 each
2 pairs of South Pole shorts for $7.49 each
3 South Pole t-shirts for $7.49 each
1 JNCO t-shirt for $4.99

Got DH 3 JNCO t-shirts at JCP for $4.82 each and 1 US Polo Association t-shirt for $2.82.

:bounce: :bounce:

Oh! Can I list some that are a few years old? I'm still just so proud of them!

  • Antique mink jacket bought at a thrift store in the US. Wasn't going to buy it, but it reminded me so much of my grandmother. Paid $10. Label inside is for a Canadian department store (the Bay) - it had a few areas that could use a little mending so I took it in to a Bay store and was told they haven't used that particular label since before the war.
  • Knee-high suede boots at a shoe store that was going out of business. Black, but they're red inside and have a slit at the back and the upper part can fold over to make a cuff. Paid $9, originally somewhere in the $90 range.
  • Several cocktail dresses from a department store going out of business - they were marked down to 90% off.

A more recent ones:
  • fancy beaded christmas sweaters from Herbergers that were horribly overpriced at around $60, but on sale in the spring for $6.99. Also bought a pair of faux suede tan pants for the same price.

Man I know there was something recently that was originally in the $50 range and I got for less than $3, but I don't remember what it was! Ack!

And yes, I have what most people would consider as "wayyyyy too many" clothes. I keep finding them on sale, and it's an easy way to make the money stretch. And as I was gaining weight I kept buying (had to), so now that I'm losing it I keep finding all these wonderful things that I can now wear again! Gotta love closet shopping, and at least that's free!

There is a thread on the budget board about a Sophisticated Mickey Blue CarpetBag originally priced at $59.00 and on sale for $9.99 at disneystore.com. I bought it and used a code for 10% off. So it was $8.99 plus S&H.

I bought a Patriotic Mickey Silhouette Flag at a Craft Warehouse in PA a couple of weeks ago for $7.95 - regular price was $21.95.

You are livin' the high life my friend. $129 for pajama's? WOW! I would have NEVER bought them for more than $20.00.

I envy you because I deserve things like that but just can't do it for myself.
