Barefoot'n Resort

Has anyone ever stayed here? It's not listed in my Unofficial Guide book from 2008 so I was wondering if it was new or if it's changed names. We stayed at Liki Tiki in 2008 and were happy with it and Barefoot'n is owned by the same company. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have a reservation at Barefoot'n for 12/30-1/7. I believe the high-rise condos that the public can reserve have been newly built since 2008. The reviews on trip advisor are generally good, but I would also like to hear from someone on the DIS who's stayed there recently.

We normally stay at Windsor Hills or Emerald Island (the cost is significantly less for a 3BR than Barefoot'n), but we are traveling with my brother and his family this time, and they like to be within walking distance of Old Town. We typically prefer condos over hotel rooms, so we thought this might be a good compromise.

There was a post on this about a week or so back.... I stayed there a few years ago when they were building the high rises. I loved it there. The place is very quiet even though it is next to Old Town. I have 2 friends who have recently stayed there and and they love it too.. in fact, one is staying there again this weekend. I will say, there wasn't much to do around their pool, but the units were very clean, the office staff are very nice... and the location is a good one. It's an easy jump over to Disney via Osceola Parkway or from Osceola Parkway to I-4 for a Universal or SeaWorld trip

The only negative thing I've seen is about Old Town and it being loud. My son will be 2 at the time and I don't want the noise to keep him up. I don't know anything about Old Town, does anyone think it's bad enough to keep you up at night?

I stayed in one of the 2 story bldgs directly to the right of the main office as you enter. I never heard any noise from Old Town. Neither of my friends have commented about the noise from Old Town either. One of them has only stayed in the high rise and the other has stayed in both, the high rise and the 2 story...
