Barbie Dreamhouse deals?

My younger daughter has asked Santa for a Barbie house. The best price I've seen is $179. Is this something that is likely to go on sale before Christmas or should I go ahead and buy one for her now?

Black Friday Sales have already started. I would worry about stock availability. There seems so little inventory for so many items these days, I'd be worried that it would sell out. If this is a must have and your daughter would be heart broken if she didn't get it, I'd buy it now.

I still remember wanting one (so don't assume your kid will forget about it).

I think I will go ahead and order her one.

I had another brand, Fisher Price, I think, but I loved mine when I was a little girl.

My daughter asks for one every time the commercial comes on... she is 3! I almost bought it, but I decided on the kidkraft treehouse retreat mansion. I figured this would work better for the Disney Princess dolls and Barbies alike. She specifically wanted a garage and an elevator, and the treehouse has both! Plus the price was a little less at $159- but it's a Costco item. KidKraft has lots of dollhouses to pick from, most of which are on Amazon.
I know this isn't what you were asking but I might be worth looking at other options with similarly cool features.

A mom on a local Facebook marketplace page asked if anyone was selling one, apparently people are willing to give them away.

If you have a credit card that earns rewards, (check out Amazon's shop with points program to see which cards are included,) you might be able to get a discount by linking that card to your amazon account. I randomly noticed one day that I had a 40% off offer (up to $50) on my purchase if I used DH's rewards points, so I snagged one last month for $129 with that offer. I only used 1 of the reward points and paid for the rest in cash on that card. I'm not sure when they decide to offer these types of discounts, but it might be worth linking the card and keeping an eye out for any discount messages. We always set up big gifts like this on Christmas Eve, so you might also keep an eye on open box discounts on Amazon if you don't might a beat up box, we snagged a great deal on DS power wheels last Christmas this way, just check to make sure there aren't missing pieces before Christmas Eve.

My little one is also three, she will be four in March. I don't have a Costco near me, but I did look at some other Kidcraft houses. The problem I have is that her room is the smallest one in our house. The Barbie house is more compact.

I should have thought of that!

I'm an amateur card churner, but you just taught me anew trick to try! May I ask what card this offer was linked to?

Did she specify Dreamhouse or just Barbie House? There are several smaller sets called portable houses that are around $40 each. I had a Dreamhouse and never played with it. I liked to make my own setups combining the furniture and the smaller sets. My favorite was the day to night office.

I think it was his AMEX Green charge card. We have different Amazon logins for our household prime account, so I linked one of my AMEX cards that also earns membership rewards points on my login hoping to get a discount to pop up for DS's big xmas gift, but no luck so far.

No advice on a deal, but it did bring back memories of when I got a Barbie house for Christmas. It was money well spent by my mom. I was probably about 6 when I got it for Christmas and played with it regularly until I was about 12 or so. I was a Barbie nut.
