Hey again everyone! I had some time tonight to relax and finally uploaded all my Disney pictures onto my new laptop (graduation present!!) so I figured that I would send out an installment tonight!! Thanks for all your nice wishes and for being so patient .. honestly - I didn't even realize that it has been almost 4 months since I started this trip report - but 4 months in my life goes by SO QUICK! I am still PINING for Disney and even though when I left I was READY to go home - I wish I was back there everyday! Hopefully we can try to take another trip withing the next year! Okay on to the trippie my wonderful patient readers! -
So after seeing Devine and company, Todd and I headed off to the FLIGHTS OF WONDER! Such an exciting title right!? Well I wasn't convinced by it. When we went in to sit down, we got great seats and I was pretty convinced that it was going to be SO boring and horrible - I dont even LIKE birds. I have to say I LOVED it! Todd and I were laughing the whole time and thought it was hilarious and that the birds were really cool. I especially loved the bird that sang 7 different songs - I was amazed by it! AWESOME - would definitely recommend visiting it!! Here are some pictures from it :
After the really cool bird show, we were famished and ready for lunch. We headed over to Pizzafari. This restaurant is REALLY cute! I loved the decor - so colorful and vibrant. It was just really cute and wasn't to busy, so I was MORE THAN happy with it!
I ordered the Italian Sandwich and an Apple Pie (honestly I am CRINGING now as I look at all the food we consumed! .. now that I've lost a lot of weight and am working on keeping it off - this food just looks sickening and I am embarassed to even put it on here! - Im kind of embarassed that I was in love with food so much that I actually TOOK these pictures - oh boy!)
My food was amazing!! I really enjoyed every minute of it - the sandwich was yummy (highly recommended) and it was extremely filling and the apple pie was probably the best I have ever eaten!
Todd ordered the Chicken Parmesan Sandwich and Chocolate Cake .. look at that massive slice!!
An hour or so earlier on the trip, I had stopped at one of those little souvenir stands and convinced myself that I HAD to have a souvenir cup. Now honestly, in my mind - this was WHAT I NEEDED! This was it! So I slap down 7 bad boys for this baby, filled with water. About 2 minutes later I realized that it was ABSOLUTELY ridiculous and a waste of money and space and was kicking myself because NOW I was stuck having to hold THIS all day :
I was definitely not happy with my decision! I haven't even used it since - its GINORMOUS! The whole day it was digging into me and poking at me.. its DANGEROUS I tell you - they should put a warning on it! Of course I decided I had to have the cup with the Elephant and his humongous pointy sharp tusks! RRR im still kicking myself for that decision!
After our yummy, fattening lunch - we were off to ITS TOUGH TO BE A BUG! I was so excited to see this show! I couldn't wait! We hadn't seen it on our other trips to AK so I was more than excited for something new - I also was excited to take pictures of our lovely bug glasses like all the other Disboard junkies!
IT WAS GREAT! This was my alltime favorite show! I loved everything about it - and i HATE bugs! I am deathly afraid of bugs and absolutely LOVED this show! The effects were great and my favorite part was at the end when the bugs scurry under your butts to "exit" the theater! I also love when you get poked in the back. That sounds strange, but seriously it is great fun!! I was in love with my bug glasses too.. I actually toyed with the notion of STEALING them! .. Im corrupt I guess - but needless to say I did not steal them and returned them lovingly to there big black bin when we were done!!
After the show, we were ready to make our way towards Festival of the Lion King! On the way, we stopped for a few photos -
We were the FIRST people in line for the Lion King and had to wait about 20 minutes for the show to start. During that time we took a ton of silly photos which I won't post and one cute one which I will - and spent most of our time giggling over my stupid elephant cup and the fact that it was BOUND to poke one of our eyes out before the day was over!!
When we finally got in, I was so excited! We were in the Elephant section and in the FIRST ROW! It was an AMAZING show! I loved the singing and was mesmorized by all the colorful costumes and exotic animals! I loved the huge animals and basically I just enjoyed the whole thing immensely! I loved interacting in the show with our different noises and sounds. Todd and I liked acting like little kids and really showing off our Elephant stuff!
The Festival of the Lion King was great and I was bummed to leave, but I really liked that the show was a decent length! It was a half hour or so and was very sufficient! After the great show, we went to Pochahontas - mainly because I could hear her singing Colors of the Wind and I happen to love that song. Well, this show SUCKED! It was horrible and I hated it. Pochahontas was DEFINITELY not Native American and had a horrible voice and it was just a show intended for a much younger audience. I was glad that I saw it though, because now I know never to go back and I like to formulate my own opinions. Here is my NON-NATIVE Pokey and her crazy talking tree!:
After the show, considering as we were already IN Camp Minnie Mickey, we met some characters!! Character interaction is so fun! I have a blast seeing all of them!
Okay - I am at my max for images so I will continue in another post! Bare with me!
