We had the same thing happen at the Columbia Harbour House too. We were actually chosen as their "Family of the Day" because we were first in line at lunch time. We received 1 fast pass for that and they set up a whole table for us upstairs special. But when this guy came up. He was asking specific questions like who was each of the kids favorite character. I thought that he was going to have a character meet with us by the way he sounded. We were so happy and being "extra nice" right back. But then he said have a good day and left. Guess that showed me for expecting something more.Man - I love reading your trip report. You are just a real "spunky girl". I know that may sound weird but it was the best I could describe you to my hubby (who was wondering who that chick was on my computer). I said you were so much fun, and I don't even know you!

I'm waiting for the pictures. I tried to convince my DD to skip having a Birthday party and we would have a girls trip to Disney for Princess & Pirate party but she wanted the party . Today is her Bday and we could be in Disney right now. Anyway I just hate having to deal with rude people at the parades, soory you had to meet some. Your hair looks so nice curly, do you use a spiral iron to do that? I might have to buy one. love this trip report!

I am not one of those obnoxious parents. I cannot stand that. I would have said something to them and I'm not a confrontational person. I've had kids come up and ask if they could stand in front of my kids for a parade. I tell them nicely that we were here for a long time and if you want a good seat you have to get there early and send them back to their lazy parents. Okay vent over.
I think I may take my oldest ds to the pirate and princess party as a date when we are there in august. Look like a lot of fun!
Hi thanks! Im glad your not one of "them"! I did say something to them - I was like "Are you serious?" after the kid just kicked me and I gave them the death stare like "if you don't leave my line of vision right now I shall ZAP you!" I mean I agree with you totally, if you get there early its your spot! At stars and motor cars parade we had some foreign (either from italy and spain or something) people knock us down and try to cut in front of us and it wasn't happening so this one little kid pushed todd over and stood right in front of him and Todd was like "kid what are you doing" and the kid started crying and ran away.. being the cold hearted person I am, I thought it was a little funny, but thats just me!

My oldest son loved it as much as you I think.I still get all excited when I pull up to the MK and see the castle. would never be tired of that. you look so excited in your photos there. I am smiling looking at them, and my 5 year old spied the castle on the pc monitor so insisted I look at ALL the photos again. (he's really enjoying your photos btw) when I was there as a senior in high school for grad night I remember someone smoking pot in Pirates of the Carribbean...so bet it was those pesky pirates out in the woods that night!glad you're back!

Well I'm glad your 1sr time to the MK was great,I still get that same excited feeling whenever I see the castle for the 1st time of our trip, and I have been there 11 times. We LOVE Buzz ride glad you had fun.Did you beat Todd?Marijuana in the MK-thats a new one to me-no wonder its such a happy place to work!!I love that you and Todd take alot of pics together-lots of wonderful memories and in case I havent said it before you are so cute together.Wish the P&PP was there in May when we go, my kids would love it.Looks like a great time.

LOL....Oh and here I'll help you with the carousel of progress, "There's a great big beautiful tomorrow shining at the end of every day, there's a great big beautiful tomorrow just a dream away!" Great. now it's in my head! lol. Hey! I was just looking at your pics from the parade and there was someone actually being Tinkerbell! Never seen that before!

Loving your TR. CHH is our favorite CS in MK. Glad you found a meal you liked! I agree about BTMRR -- you have to take it for what it's worth as it's an older ride. Both BTMRR and SpM were considered VERY innovative for a long time and are now just a HUGE nostalgia ride for us oldies. They're also great first roller coasters for the younger ones. I think I like the long queue with all the sounds on SpM more than anything! LOL But I'm weird.
I'm thrilled to see that you both rested up and were ready for a fun night at MK -- seems like you had a blast. Can't wait to hear more! Check in with us to say HI every once in a while so we know you're ok! We missed you!!!!

I have no such luck with that game, I think once I got a pathetic 300 points while Justin (dbf) got 60000000 or whatever it goes up to, his goal is to max it out, so whenever we go we have to ride it like a thousand times. there is that one part where the car goes through the stars and its all funky looking, I always have to close my eyes, makes me queasy. We did the exact same thing at the P&P Party. We were so excited that there were NO LINES anywhere, that we really didn't do any of the special stuff, except the fireworks and parade (which I would not miss!). But we had a great time. Those fireworks were amazing!
We LOVE the Carousel of Progress too! I'm so happy that my kids love it (they're 9 and 11 and have loved it since their first trip when they were 5 and 7). You never know with kids if it will be "cool" enough! But it's a family favorite.

Okay, I know I am ridiculously late joining this thread, but it's great! I spent pretty much my whole day at work today reading it. Thanks for a great report! It really shows me just show much fun a couple can have in WDW. Past three times I have been were with my parents and sister. DH and I will be celebrating our first anniversary there in October, and reading your report makes me even more excited! Like everyone else, I am eagerly anticipating the rest of it.
