I've read posts before that the MK Barbershop will do girls hair too. Can anyone tell me what they will do there and what the pricerange is? I wouldn't want her to have her hair cut but was wondering if they style it or do anything special for them. We decided not to take them to BBB this time - will wait till they are older.

Oh and is there a minimum age for kids at the MK Barbershop? My girls will be 2 1/2 and 4.

THANKS!

We had my DD hair trimmed and as part of the hair cut they put "pixie dust" in their hair. It was a pain to get out. They can also put colors in their hair but you can't get it wet.

If you are not planning on getting their hair trimmed I would not recommend going. The cost was about $14. The cost for a cut is not bad it's the same here in MA to get her hair cut. The barbers are great but they are not there to "style"

we went to get DS first haircut and there was a girl before us (maybe 6ish) the "barber" did her hair soo cute...puffed her bangs, put her hair in a tight ponytail and put colored gel in her hair and "pixie dust" and the little mickey mouse sign on the back of hair hair w/ the colored gel she LOVE It. and it looked really cute...( I think I remember them ringing them up for 31ish, 2 kids though)

I remember she caught my attention a couple times in the park later that day and she was still talking about it LOL too cute

DS had his first haircut there and it was only $14 bucks plus tip. There were little girls and boys getting pixie dust and coloring. Not sure what the price for that was though... DD wouldn't do it! If you go get there ASAP. It is very small and we had to wait in a line with DS. He did great though so it was worth it:)

Hi,

More details from allears:

Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week. No appointments -- walk-ins only.

Cost for a haircut is $17 for adults and $14 for children 12 and under. Colored hair gel, $5. Beard and mustache trims are $10.

The color/confetti is now $7.50 (free with a haircut)

If your kids have not had their haircut yet, it's definitely worth it to get their first haircut there. They will give them mickey ears with "First Haircut" embroidered on the back, a certificate, and a little bit of their hair wrapped up with some confetti "pixie dust". It's the same price as the kid's haircut-- $14. Both my son (almost 2) and daughter (4) got their first haircuts there last May. It really was one of the highlights of our trip. :goodvibes

There is no minimum age for the barber shop. Yes they do just color and confetti. My DH has gotten a haircut and gotee trim there before and I have gotten my hair colored and confetti'd twice. The last time we brought our 5 year old niece and they styled, colored and confetti'd her hair as well.

I'm going to be taking my one year old son to get his first haircut there the day we arrive. I'm so excited. I watched some youtube videos and the sticker distraction technique looks like something that might work well on him. :lmao: I bet my girls would enjoy getting the hair gel and confetti when we go too.

We brought our Daughter there at 8 mo for her first haircut. She didnt need one but come on, its Disney. Its special. Go for it. They just trimmed her, no fancy stuff. Not sure how to post a pic or I would...
