Banshee Issues

My 8 year old daughter got a banshee puppet in Pandora last week. We just got home yesterday, and we tried to put batteries in it. We cannot get the battery cover off. it seems like the screw is stripped. Anyone else have this issue? Any ideas on what to do?

Try using a rubber band in-between the screw and screw driver
