That is really good to hear. Sounds like VMK has actually been following up recently....they FINALLY gave me my candy cauldron and Master Gracey pin after 3 emails to them, this week! Just in time for Halloween....LOL.

I'm sure they will. Just save the email from them and if they don't fix it, send it to them and ask how long it takes! LOL.

Well it looks like things ARE NOT headed for the right direction after all! I just read this email from my sister. I can't believe how crazy and wishy/washy VMK staff are. It is really ridiculous.

This new message from VMK_Bear absolutely contradicts what VMK_April sent earlier.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your email concerning your child's ban. Unfortunately we
are unable to discuss specific details of the ban with anyone other
than the account holder themselves for privacy reasons. This is because we
are unable to verify that you are this account holder's parent. We are
sorry for the inconvenience this causes.

However, if you know your child's account details and then use them to
follow the 'player' route, we can assist you.

Again, we are sorry for this inconvenience.

The point here is not the fairness of the ban, I can except that. The
point is that VMK-april emaied us and told us the ban was lifted on
Tuesday of last week 11-8-05. If I had know that you guys were not going to
stand by your word I would have kept that email.

By the way I talked with my son on this a long time and he swears he
never got a warning from you guys as a matter of fact no one in this
house has gotten a warning from you for anything. Ban Nozzlehead if you
feel the need but you have banned every player in the house in banning
this computer, my daughter has done nothing wrong this is not her fault.

I'm so glad you are busy protecting all those nasty mouthed players out
there from my 8year old that has trouble typing what he means on a slow
computer.

You know it is very frustrating as a parent trying to teach your kids about fairness in life. But, it is really bad when an organization like Disney can't seem to stand by their word! Shame on them!

PS of course I have to add here, just HOW are you able to prove you are the kid's parent if you can't even 'really' get ahold of them? Do they have a fax number you can send the copy of the birth certificate to? So far I figure if they're sending emails to my sister's email, and her son's account was set up using that email address that should be the only proof needed since that is the only way any contact is going on! It just sounds like another 'excuse' on their part to wield their power.

That is just ridiculous and sad. My question is, when a kid creates an account (assuming they use their real birthday), it asks for the parent's email address as well (I made a mule and accidentally gave it a young person's birth year and it asked me for that). Did she put her email in when creating her childrens' accounts? Can't they verify that way?

VMK makes me so angry sometimes....I really hope they get this straightened out. I simply cannot imagine a 10 year IP ban over a mistake in typing by an 8-year old. They better get their crap in order!

Yes, she used her email. That is the kicker. That is the email she is using to communicate with them. If they want the actual account holder to contact them, then why have the two choices on the website, both parent and child?/account holder? I think it is another case of wanting to 'wield' the power that they have. Or to try and not acknowledge that there are problems with their game and it's rules (or application of).
