Banking ?

This is a first for me.. I have 95 points that I need to bank by Jan. I have a June use year. When do these points need to be used by? Can you have a reservation after they expire if it was booked prior?

Those banked points (Jun 2019) “Pumpkin” May 31, 2021 and must be used by that date - any stay with those points must be completed by then.

Not clear on question. You can use your June 2019 points for any trip that ends May 31, 2020 or before. You cannot use them for any trip that begins on or after June 1, 2020 unless you first bank them. If banked, they can only be used for a trip that begins and ends between June 1, 2020 and May 31, 2021. Once you bank the points, the 11 month/ 7 month rule applies, e.g., if you banked them today, you could make a reservation right now using them for a trip beginning Sep 25. 2020 at your home resort.

If you have a reservation booked for after the original expiration date, AND you banked them so they could be used in the following UY they become effectively NEXT years points. They need to be banked before the Jan 31, 2020 deadline. Once banked they can NOT be returned to their original UY and will expire, if not used prior tp May 31 2021.

Banking in essence extends the life of the points for one UY. So, those 2019 UY points you don’t need during your 2019 UY..which means for trips between now and May 31st, 2020...once banked, can then be used for trips planned June 1st, 2020 to May 31st, 2021.

in order to use them to reserve a room in your 2020 UY, you have to bank first.
