DH and I have decided that we definately want to buy in
and are just now debating waiting until July 1st to see if Contemporary becomes available or to just buy at AKV (I love AK but love the location of Contemporary). Anyhow, we are already planning on how best to use our points. We just got back from a great trip to WL and won't be going back until May 2009 so we would have to bank our 2008 points immediately. Once I bank 2008 pts into 2009 do I have to use all of the 2008 points in 2009 and then bank any excess 2009 points into 2010? Hope that makes sense, I'm just trying to figure out how long of a trip I would need to book because we would also have developer points to use for our 2009 trip. Geeze what a dilema we may have to stay at WDW longer than we planned to, LOL.... If I buy in at 160 we would have 160 2008 points banked, 160 developer points, and 160 2009 points. There is no way we would need that many points for one trip and I don't see us going more than once in 2009. We have occasionally gone more than once in a year but it's not going to happen next year. If I understand correctly I would have to use the 160 developer points and 160 2008 points and then just bank all of my 2009 points into 2010 and keep going like this until I've utilized all banked points and wind up with just my regular points which if I've got it figured out correctly would happen somewhere around 2012. Everytime I think I've got it all figured out I come up with another question. Do they give you a book that explains all of this in detail?
