If i were to buy a 100 point contract ( Nov use year) now would my points start from this month or start from last Nov and if so would I be able to bank them for use in next October? We would like to go this year but we have to much going on so we would like to go next Oct for Halloween .

There are no November use years. Only 8 months are sold - Feb, March, April, June, Aug, Sept, Oct, Dec.

If you buy direct from Disney with a June to December use year, you would get 2011 points (you would have to buy June by Thursday). Those points could be banked to be used by the end of your 2012 use year. So if you have an October use year, 2012 points would have to be used by 9/30/13. December would have to be used by 11/30/13.

I didn't think they had a Nov but I wasn't sure. this helps thank you

In theory, if you bought a contract with a November UY directly from Disney, they should give you the 2011 points because that is the UY you are currently in.

But there were several reports on this thread that said Disney is telling people that new members have to buy a December UY to get 2011 points, something about requiring a UY to be six months old in order to get 2011 points.

Can you bank and then rent if plans changed?
Yes, you can make a reservation with the banked points and then rent the reservation. You cannot transfer banked points to another member, however.
