Banking Question

I'm fairly new to DVC (bought in Sept 2011), and I am confused about banking points. Our use year is April, and we are planning a trip, checking on October 21st. If I don't have enough 2012 points for this october trip, do I have to wait until April 1st to borrow from 2013, since this is the start of my use year? I assumed I would have to, but when I was playing around on the member site, it offered to let me go ahead and borrow from 2013.

Point usage is based on the date of your travel, not the date of booking. Since you will betravelling in October you will be eligible to borrow points for that reservation no matter what date you book it so yes, you can book and borrow today.

Oh, ok! That makes sense! There is so much to learn with DVC, but I'm so glad we have it!
