Banking points

Im sure this has been asked a thousand times but. I had banked points from 2016 into 2017 my use year is Sept. I rented those points which have to be used by 2018. My 2017 points now can be banked into 2018 if I do that will it affect the already rented out points? If not can I make a reservation this year for 2018 even though those points aren't ready till next year? Thx

Yes, those points will expire if not used on or before 8/31/2018.

Yes, if your stay in 2018 is on or after 9/1/2018. If it's going to occur earlier than 9/1/2018, you do not want to bank the 2017 points. Any stay between 1/1/2018 and 8/31/2018 will be i your 2017 use year.

Points need to valid for the dates of your stay. Doesn't matter when you actually book the stay.
